| I have a parts tractor i'm going to pick up that looks kinda like that, it has no engine but i think the transmissions still good. I love old Dynamarks, they're built like tanks lol. | |

So the frames would be stronger than say my 2002 Craftsman LT1000 that I use as a offroad tractor? I'm leaning towards fixing the rust on the back and swapping in the drivetrain from the LT1000. I need a front axle and the tie rod from the steering gear. Any chance you'd part with that, if you have a spare?

| Well it definitley has more metal in it than plastic unlike some newer tractors. And probably not, most of the front end of this one is rusted solid. | |

| I have one of them that's very similar. I think it's a bit older. But the rear ends are very good. And fast too, if you look down under there, the rear spindle is even larger than average! | |

The axle shafts were cut where they exit the transaxle. I'd need a new set of axle shafts if I wanted to use the rear end. The transaxle shifts really nice. I'd sorta like to rebuild the rear axle, and get a replacement front axle for it and then throw the 17HP OHV Briggs I have in it.

I'm in Columbus, Ohio. Shipping would be a bit of a pain, but if you've got some spares, I'd like to see what you had.

| Ya, I was just thinking if you where local.(I'm up and over in NH) I would really like to keep it whole too, like doing a restoration job. The original color is orange, but someone had painted green over it. Seems kinda like what you've got. But the dash is really similar. That's something I haven't seen. Does yours have a lighter on it? | |

| Mine has the push pull switch too. It has no resistance when you pull it, so I figure it's toast. If I repower it, I'll probably replace the switch. Currently the potential donor has the headlight switch as part of the ignition switch.
If I can get some time, I'll have to get afew more pics.

| Are you putting in a new ignition switch? I believe the stock one is only three positional. One thing that I do waits my mudder because I just don't care is hooked up the lights(actualy only one works) right to the power source. Bypassing the switch. So now they're always on! | |

I don't know how I'm going to do it. I'm not sure if I'm even going to keep it in one piece. If the hood and grill fits my LT1000, I may just graft them on and call it a day. I'd like to try to use the frame of the dynamark because it seems stronger.

| Oh yep. If you have the parts and tools to get it going I would keep the dynamark together. They have a good history. And I just plain like 'em! | |

The frame seems alot heavier than my LT1000. That's the big draw. Plus the retro style and the ratrod feel.

| Ha ha yes! If you want a tough stout little rat-rod thing, try a Sears LT10 from the '80s. I looove the look of mine, because it's rusted out. But this summer it's going to get chopped and channeled! I'm thinking about putting the front down, but I did this on my profile tractor and it gets caught on even the smallest rocks. | |

| I agree, if you have the parts I'd stick with the Dynamark. The tractor thats in my profile picture is also a fairly old Dynamark that i've fixed up. I've had no problems with it and i'm pretty sure it has the engine and transmission it came with still on it and i use it all the time. Very reliable. | |

| Nice. I don't know where I'll end up, but I figure I can do something cool on the cheap.
I originally snagged it because I thought it was an old cub cadet or sears suburban.

| Fairly old you say, what year is it? Older than '90s? I'm trying to figure out how old mine is. I was thinking 1960 something. | |

I havn't found a date plate, but best guess would be mid 80's and possibly as new as 97. There's not much out there and the original decals have been painted over. I'm hoping I can find a data plate somewhere. The odd thing is that most that I saw online have the fuel cap through the hood, this doesn't. I also need to figure out how to release those goofy wing nut clips to get the hood open.

| I'm wanting to say maybe '73? I know my papaw bought it new when my mom was younger. I would've kept it stock but the decals were tore apart so I just repainted it lol | |

I'm leaning towards industrial satin black and maybe finding a sign painter who wants to do some custom graphics.

| Cool! I have a plate right between the battery and the gas tank. Try red on black, or neon green on black! | |
