| Cool! I have a plate right between the battery and the gas tank. Try red on black, or neon green on black! | |

I havn't found a date plate, but best guess would be mid 80's and possibly as new as 97. There's not much out there and the original decals have been painted over. I'm hoping I can find a data plate somewhere. The odd thing is that most that I saw online have the fuel cap through the hood, this doesn't. I also need to figure out how to release those goofy wing nut clips to get the hood open. I haven't looked for one, but i will haha.

Either neon green or fire engine read pin strips. ;-)

| Dynamarks were built by AYP - same as older sears tractors- ive owned a few dynamarks over the years, and still own 3 of them currently- an '82, '84 and a '88 . After the '90's, dynamark was bot by toro and they went to a full plastic hood setup, then was no longer built.
Tennessee Cowboys is an '82 - just like mine - the dynamark chassis on the sawhorses is earlier then that ( white grilles are an earlier model) - i had one with a teccy 10HP it had a 'brain box'/voltage regulator and points ( points were on tractors before '80), rear discharge deck and a white plastic grille- sheetmetal was black and white while the deck was red - i kick myself for getting rid of it ...
Reason i know how old mine are is they still have thier factory motors, all briggs with date codes on them - i had a parts 'blue' dynamark that had a cigarette lighter - none of my others have one tho...
I like the dynamarks for their plain toughness, easy to work on and easy to remove the deck ( one pin, remove the belt and out it comes ).
Only sort of drawback is the pan chassis setup - it can flex and eventually break - if it was reinforced, then it should handle pretty much anything.

| Yes Sir. I guess mine is earlier! Did you see the photos I had posted? The only plastic is the gas cap and tank. It also has the early Briggs and Stratton logos in em. This is kinda off topic, but about the points and condenser. Mine originally had them, but the spark plug wire on the coil had melted. So I put in a newer magnetron (or whatever) coil and it runs perfect. Is that ok? | |

That sounds right on my mower, I knew it was either a '72, '73, or '82 lol. Just couldnt remember for sure. Btw, is your parts Dynamark stock blue? Those things are pretty rare aren't they? - BlackMountian88 wrote:

| That's nearly identical to mine with the exception of the gas cap in the hood. Awesome to see another one so similar. In all of my searching, I have not seen another one that was that close to mine. | |

| Ours do look alike lol. There's no serious body damage on it that i can tell. It just needs to be cleaned up a little. And i'm pretty sure the transmission is still good too. I guess i'll find out when i pull it to my garage haha. And thanks for that link, that tractor is awesome!! | |
