I went to the US Space and Rocket Center in Huntsville, AL today and found possibly the perfect mower tire. 44.5x18-21….34 ply…228kts max speed


Look at the sidewall on this bugger! I think it’s designed for about 350psi of nitrogen. Load rating: one space shuttle, schoolteacher capacity untested

The lunar rover there was pretty cool too. Had double wishbone torsion bar suspension I believe, with the funky wire mesh tires, all riveted together.









The Saturn V they had in there was incredible. Words can’t describe the scale of the thing. They had an F1 Rocketdyne on display too, i spent a lot of time up close to it admiring the craftsmanship that went into that engine. I can confidently say if that engine were made again today, it would look completely different due to modern manufacturing methods. There’s not an inch of that engine that i can’t point out a spot that was clearly formed by human hands, or human handles cranking the handles of the machines anyway.

@Ifitaintbroke it is arguably the best chainsaw ever because the Chevy will catch on fire right after cutting all the wood so no fire starter needed

Wouldn't you know. When money needs to be watched close due to being on furlough this past week amongst other bigtime life matters. A Murray Ultra with a 20hp Pressure Lube and 820 Transaxle pops up for $80. May be cheap enough not to matter....

Man I've been wrenching on truck stuff and working a bunch and I haven't had time to finish the build off rig it only needs the wiring fixed hood hinges figured out an engine cage and a front bumper everything else works

Still got little over a month. Even if you don't finish... as long as it has the below, it is complete per rules and should let me know that fact in your thread.

• Throttle must be installed and operable remotely (without operator touching engine)
  
• Kill switch must be installed and operable without operator touching engine
  
• Engine must start with a switch of some type or be pull-start
