@Doug likes to end and start a new thread if it gets too big.  I was looking and Forumotion does have a reply limit to a topic. it will split and lock the topic when reaches 1,990 posts.

Since I scored the Cub Cadet (a link can be found in my signature), what I've wanted the most for it is front spindles so I can at least have it completely off the ground and be able to move it around so I've been regularly watching eBay and FINALLY a reasonably priced pair surfaced! They were $87USD ($112CAD) shipping included for the pair which is what just one has been going for! I'm very excited! Lol

Hot dang my friend, I'm always shocked at the price of tractor parts, I would definitely consider reinforcing those spindles, if you bend those up you might be sorry

Especially for older tractors but overall they were a steal, almost half the price was shipping! Lol. I'm not so sure they'll need reinforcement as the Cub Cadet 149 is a pretty heavy duty tractor, look it up online. If I was going to add a loader then yes an upgrade to 1" spindles would be needed but unless I came across one for dirt cheap I doubt it would happen. I'm not 100% sure what I'm doing with it yet, first I'll get it functional then the sky is the limit! Lol

Oh, man if I ever find a lawn tractor loader around here, I am literally going to drop everything and go buy it man, one of those would be so handy around here, I've been wanting to build a little mini backhoe for a while now but I've seen how much metal and hydraulics are and I'm still saving up...

Had a wind storm down here ourselves a few weeks ago. Gale force winds and an 19ft camper what an experience.

Sounds like an electrical issue to me but it wouldn't hurt to check to make sure your valve lash is in spec and put a new spark plug in, I recommend a NGK CR6HSA, it's all I'll run in those "monkey" motors as they work best and have never given me trouble. Some things that come to mind are the CDI, the coil, and the crankshaft position sensor (hall effect), doubtful its the Stator but you never know.

I don't believe there's a definitive way to test a CDI but you can test a hall effect sensor by taking an ohms reading while it's cold then once it starts acting up to see if it's out of spec. Not sure on the specs for it specifically but I'll see if I can dig anything up or use my friends chopper as a test mule. You can test the coil with a multimeter doing ohms test but it may not help, best thing to do is look at the strength of the spark when it's cold by using a spare good plug then test again with that same plug once it starts acting up. Try some of this stuff then get back to me one way or the other, if you're still having a hard time I'll do what I can to help!

ive done the plug thing and nothing changes, i wasnt sure how to check lash so my grandpa had done it for me and checked timing, im really hopin it aint a cdi but like i said the high speed jet is getting clogged and im assuming thats the issue but im not sure

Well guess it's time to clean it ALL out again then replace the fuel line and filter because a clean system shouldn't clog the main jet. The good thing about those carbs are is how simple and easy they are to take apart, work on and clean. When you hold the carb upside down with the bowl off the float should sit level. The mixture screw can be tricky and I KNOW it would ideally be set around 1.5-2 turns out but everyone I've ever had or worked on has ended up around 3/4 turns out and that's AFTER trying several different pilot jets. What kind of air filter are you running? In the mouth of the carb there's a air port for the pilot circuit and crud could find its way into the bowl. Mine have the air port, I'd assume yours does too as it should have a similar carb (PZ19).

it has the stock airbox and the filter stays surprisingly clean, it sure does pick up wheat and stuff of that nature from feilds and other plants, i have a Kawasaki klx 110L i dont know if thats the same carb style or not

i will attempt the idle screw thing this weekend, i know the float is correct, could you post a picture of the port your talking about?

Well heck man you didn't say it was a Kawi.... that changes everything.  When someone says they have a 50/90/110cc and don't give a name brand I tend to assume they're talking about a offshore machine. You need to get into it again anyways and when you take off the airbox you'll see the air ports facing you if they're there and I bet they are but because you're running the factory airbox you're probably good that way if it seals well. Another possible spot for crud to get in is the fuel cap if it has a air vent nipple on the top and you don't have a filter on it,  just sticking the hose in the handlebar padding isn't enough.

I'd find and download the manual for your specific carb before you mess with it too much. At best keep track of where the mixture screw was by turning in all the way in until lightly seated,  counting how many turns then turn it back out to where you started,  then start making adjustments in corse (1/4 turn) increments going to no more than 3 turns out or when the spring loses tension and no less than a half turn out. Always give it about 30 seconds between adjustments for it to take affect. The ideal setting for most machines is going to fall between 1.5-2.5 but I've had to install new pilot jets to get to that point, at the factory they put one in that SHOULD be good no matter where the bike ships but they can't fully account for all attitude and atmospheric differences everywhere.

It's so tough to diagnose and help like this or even over the phone for that matter but I'll do my best. I've had friends call me over and over explaining and me giving them things to try because they don't want to come all the way out here but when they get frustrated enough that they do  or o go there I've usually solved it in a short time. So if you want to buy me a plane ticket and pick me up from the airport.... lol
