I thought I should introduce you fellers to my old sweetheart that I call the super simplicity (she may not be super to everyone but she is fun! ). flashback about a year ago I found her in her natural habitat of rotting away at the bottom of a scrap pile. so for the low price of 5 dollars, I drug her home I proceeded to drop in a running 8hp Briggs added some 23in ags made the existing hubs work so mods on this old girl so far are -23in ags -7 1/2 inch engine pulley -8in carsile snow hogs and that's about it right now there is no motor and it's half torn down. fun fact this tractor actually brought me to atltf after seeing Mr mods simplicity adventurer and seeing ideas for mine. currently, I am swapping in a toro front axle so I can have dual pivot points. anyways here are some pics and merry Christmas! before
thanks! I am keeping her to her roots of being found in the scrap. right now I am thinking about the rear tires. with the new front axle, the axle is dropped about 3 inches from stock so she is a bit raked I was thinking throw on stock rims and running 8in ags any other ideas? i was also toying with the idea of putting on some sears suburban fenders. some more complete pics
I was thinking about using the original fenders but in that case i would have to cut them which I may do and is still a possibility. anyhow I got the front axle in and modified the steering arm to work. mounted my wheels and found out that adding a second pivot point added all the flexing capabilities which I was going for, but also adds frustrating steering problems and frame sitting straight and not leaning on the two pivot points problems. I also started fabbing up some running boards to put my feet instead of the original footpegs. i got this whole week off so a lot of progress should be made if I am not fishing lol!

thanks that's what I was going for! small update, this morning I decided what the heck let's see what the original fenders look like cut, so I proceeded to take the spinning wheel of death to my 57-year-old fenders (don't worry they had pinholes where I cut them!) I continued to cut then leaned back to take a look at what I had done, after nervous laughing for about 5 minutes I decided what I did wasn't too bad and said I can make this gooder I proceeded to find some license plates and made some ratty fender flares I think It turned out looking pretty good. before
yes, whenever I am at swap meets I look. most of these plates are ones of cars I have helped part-out. In other news, I decided that building running boards was too much work right now and took the alternative route by using running boards of an old sears I parted out, I think it looks all right and should work well at least a place to put my feet! I found my temporary motor out of my cub 76 should work just gotta get the stock pulley off and add my 7 1/2 inch pulley.
bright lighting!

Those older Simplicity's are my favorite. That's a pretty cool idea keeping the rear flex and adding the front pivot. Doesn't the frame flop over to one side though? If so you might be able to still keep it that way but just add some springs to keep it sorta centered on flat ground. Cool rear fenders too with the license plates.
thanks, I really like these old simplicitys to! on the frame flopping from side to side issue I will probably have to use a set of shocks, I have a set of golf cart ones so I'm thinking about making them work . @Budget_gokart thanks I really like the hood to I actually bought the tractor out of a friends pasture, his brother painted the hood for a project and never did anything with the tractor .

wait if you pulled up the front left wheel and left the back flat how much travel will you get? also my craftsman needs shocks on the front because at speed it wants to roll over and i hope you dont have plans for a bunch of speed and cornering lol
