| My newest mower is a Wheel horse C 120 somewhere between a 74 and a 77. Ill do a better update when I get some time but the mods go as follows. Honda gx390 13hp motor, snorkled with a uni filter, 25 inch kenda executioner tires on the rear, Deestone tri ribs on the front. Locked transaxle. 6 inch front pulley, runs about 15 mph I would guess. maybe faster. I built a rear skid plate and added a Idler setup to get the belt up out of the mud and add adjustability to the belt tension. Working on bumpers and a new throttle system. EDIT I moved my pictures in photobucket and it made me redo all my links, since I have completed bumper pics Im not going to repost the mockup pics new belt setup

| Lawn mudder, on my old tractors that were faster, I build the bumpers wider, but on the wheel horse, the steering is strong enough, (after being beefed up lol) that hitting trees with the front tires doesnt really hurt anything. and wide bumpers tend to get caught on trees, rocks and banks. we do alot of slower, extremely technical riding so hitting things usually happens at 5 mph or less. we just have them geared up to go faster from rough trail to rough trail. Stretch We ride all around Logan ohio how far from mansfield is that? | |

| Google says 2hr drive. I am 1 hour north of columbus(north side)
We do a lot of slower riding at haspin every year, then races at my house in the fall.
There is an off road park in butler, ohio, that I'd like to check out. Hour away for me, but looks like 2hr's for you.

| 2 hours is a little far for me I would be up for like a hour drive or so, unless it was the holy grail of mower riding spots, we have been trying to get them tagged for perry state forest, because we ride quads on it and it would be mecca for mower | |

| Speaking of Mecca for mower trail riding... you guys should totally budget money and time to go with us to Haspin in South eastern Indiana. Its about a 6 hour drive for us, but we spend Wed through Sun there and the trails shouldn't bore you. I'll post the event when we get next summer's date set. | |

| Ok update time, and sorry about the pictures getting screwed up for a bit, first off Ill show the front bumper mostly done still need to add a skid plate to it and a shackle mount Rear bumper, nice and simple, with a tow hook welded on rear bumper again worst thing about wheel horses is they have no room to take stuff with you. I built a basket underneath the seat pan then cut this access hole in the pan under the seat so I can put a tow rope under it. also it let me lower my seat springs for better center of gravity. Also in this pic you can see the custom frame and hinges I made for the seat | |
