| Does anyone know of any steering drag link upgrades? Mine are not bent, the ends are just worn out really bad and the steerings super sloppy. This is due to all the rocky bumpy roads i go on at 30 mph. could i cut the old hiem joints that connect to the steering spindles off, and tap threads on the ends of the drag links? i do not have a welder. | |

| Ok I will look for one of those tractors for parts. The two rods going to each spindle are fine itself, they have no bends, it’s the drag Link ends that are bad. The hole where the bolt screws in is worn out and has a lot of play. I will go to my neighbors mower junk yard and look for GT ones though! | |

| All of the steering gear from a GT drops right in. Thicker steering sector gear, heavier tie rods, heavier 7/8 spindles. Just the bushings have to swap out with it on the spindles. | |

| They usually have a different uglier hood, a briggs opposed or v twin, a peerless 820 trans, and bigger wheels all around. I don't recall what the models are. | |

| i have Snowblower wheels on my tractor, the ID is 7/8 and i could not find bushings that small for the spindles that are on my murray right now. so i have been running without any bushings and just greasing it every couple weeks. are the spindles from the GT a different size than stock? | |
