Put Patriot to work today.  Moved some pavers that were near the back porch that looked bad there.  Took them and lined under our fence so the one dog of ours doesn't dig out.  Smaller dog and he can't move them.





Yep that is the old front from the Sasquatch II days.

More work for the patriot today dragging around the old craftsman.  Using it to make a Halloween display.

One of these days I will get around to that rat rod build with that craftsman.

Wondering if I should bring this build back. Never been too happy as a speed or utility build. Considering a off-road build. Not sure..

I think I will bring this old dog back into the game.  I entered it in the 2019 B/O and did pretty well!  After getting the 9N Ford a couple years back Patriot fell by the wayside and became a parts rig of sorts.  I think it is time to pull it back out.  Get some parts and maybe enter in the '22 Build-Off one more time as an Off-Road build.  Front suspension, 18hp Power, right now opposed briggs, but the last time I ran it, it vibrated something fierce.  Not sure if I dropped a cylinder or not.  Engine will need an overhaul or new power plant.  That is to be determined.  New paint and new name.  I already have the color and name in mind.  Something from my childhood, but I can get into that more later.

But first, I need to dig it out of the shed to prep (clean, plan and acquire parts).

FIrst I have to set it out of the building.  It has 3 flat tires and missing the rack and pinion.  I stole that for red!  I've been waiting 2 yrs to replace the one I had.  I guess they quit making the old yerf dog ones.

Do you plan to stay with the blue body or will you repaint it? I like the color. 

I like the blue as well, but I will be repainting.  Right now I am getting sticker shock on the Items I need.

-Right off, I need to figure steering.  If I replace the rack and pinion, $100 for the next closest thing.

-I need 2 new 12 inch wheels for the rear.  The ones on it are about rusted through to the bead.  Slow leakers now.

and the list goes on.  I already have some thoughts in mind.

Hmm... Shall I do suspension again or just stock pivot moved forward.  (still brainstorming and planning)

Went ahead and pulled the plugs to see what they were saying.

Front side cylinder was pretty soot fouled.  Weak spark or cold plug?



Little blurry, but this one has some soot, but only on the center firing end.


I'll look into the magneto and see if it has strong or weak spark.  Also, maybe a hotter plug?

Found the vibration... but first, do you see the problem?

Site is quiet.... No takers yet on the question above.  If I do not see anything tomorrow, I'll spill what is wrong.

I think I will pull the Trans sometime this week and lock it in prep for next year.  If I have the diff with the 3 set of planetary gears.  I'll just flip the gears to lock.  If it has just the 2 planetary sets, I may need to weld it like @redzz02 's video.
