in my experience rattle cans can be temperamental some brands work better than others sometimes it's best to experiment with a few different ones to find what works the best.

I am struggling here with progress...painting has been the suck... I may just get it mechanically squared away before I do anymore painting or detail stuff just so I am sure I can have something to qualify.

Yeah, we are starting to come into the cooler season and that always means hard to set paint for me.  I can only imagine up there.

up where man I am in bumble burbs of Philly Pa.....

I got the dash out and the stickers off the side....Drilled and tapped for my other motor mount bolt.... Gotta clean if off again and get the motor mounted up... I need extended choke and throttle cables.

got the dash painted up, and a few more things.....getting closer to re assembly....

HA I'd like to do that tractor in the build off but I dont want to modifiy it, just gonna start restoring it after I get the motor worked out.

Probably use the cub cadet 104 in the background finally for next build.

FINALLY got all the crap off the running board... yuck.

I really like the look of those old ones, just haven't come across one recently. I saw a couple restored ones before and I thought it was cool how the engine is in the middle and the exhaust pipe runs up to the front. Looking good with the build.

So the paint that I am willing to do is done, gonna finally put the engine back on for good tonight, measure for my throttle and choke cable.

I really hope this thing drives, as I only drove it one time over a year ago & the original motor exploded.

yeah check out page 5, few pics of it....yes the engine is ridiculously large for the tractor frame....

Finished bolting down the engine last night, I had to drill out the threaded holes and just use bolts, nuts and lock washers to get it lined up.

I ordered throttle and choke cables, I am probably gonna use a smaller engine pulley to keep the speed down, because my other wheel horse like this is fast as all hell & it is super unstable. I have no idea what I'm going to use this tractor for yet, but it will be a while before I drive it thru a mud hole.

Hope it runs and drives, fingers crossed...

I am almost fully assembled, cables, belts hooked up, just no wiring yet. I ordered some decals to make it look legit. Still have to finish the air cleaner housing & lots of little stuff...

Funny how the engine stick out the muffler side, a good 4+ inches over the other side.....

She's looking great! Funny how you mentioned the upper cylinder sticking out a bit farther. That's just like the oppy in my Ford, haha.

Looking nice and CLEAN!

Got things sorted out with my paint, found some acrylic clear with a satin finish that looked way better than glossy or a flat sheen so I am happy with it now, paint looks more even.

Should able to put my decals on tonight....not sure how I feel about the horse head it is a bit bigger than I imagined it but we will see..

I love the Wheel Horse logo! Really sets it off in my opinion.

I agree with AK.... looks real good on there.  The more I look at it, I really like the old style access to changes plugs or oil without opening the hood.

Yeah I guess those items are easy access now....

I have some black lettering for the side of the hood so I will see how it works out, dont want the stickers to be too much.
