Wound up going down a few sizes on the main jet. Not sure the actual number size but it was a .055” hole. Still playing with the needle position. I tuned the engine to run smooth at all rpm in the shop but once i put the engine under load it fell flat on its face. Had the needle all the way down. Raised the needle up two spots and she’s got tons of power now. Just isnt smooth at one rpm at no load. Sort of sounds like anti-lag the way it chops a bit. Might try for one more slot and see if that improves anything.
Painted the nose cone and cut and painted a little grille screen
Put a new headlight in one side and it burnt out like the second time i turned it on. Same side as last time. Maybe i should redo my wiring up there. That side is a bit dimmer, must be drawing more amps and burning the filament out or something.

Oh yeah, also welded these side pieces into the pto winch fairlead. Some kid years ago made the fairlead a bit wide and the rope will try to pull over the drum at certain angles.
Added these blocks on either side of the front axle as to limit articulation(and therefore bumpsteer with this setup). Still has more articulation than it needs.
Skimming off some junk back here. Removed the old snapper hitch and trimmed back the hitch plate. Got caught on it pretty bad this afternoon and that finally gave me the motivation to cut it.
I did some work to the front axle tightening everything up and managed to actually make the steering feel a lot better. Turns out there was a few things interfering under there.
Not sure if the shift keys are that bad, need to check that something in my shifter hasn’t loosened up. It’s only really reverse giving problems.
As always I hate the steering in this thing. Need to go to sears style bellcrank steering. Also my seat got turned weird a couple times, should do something about that.
