This big stick was very well attatched to the ground for some reason, the whole tractor rotated around it

It's funny really, I did the exact same thing about 10 months ago. It seems that hole hasn't filled in at all since then.

No 820 left behind man! Maybe there easy to find where your at but I don't think there's one in my entire state. I've never even seen one.

It's still on the fozzy locked trans. The locker is almost done.

I'm not sure why 820s are so common in my area. They're everywhere in Murray GTs.

My friend accidentally ordered 2 extra of these little volt meters so he gave me two to do something with.(thats his hand haha I'm not married)

Craftsman GT3000 "MUTT" Part II - Page 5 20190215

Took an ammeter that had gotten full of water and stop working. Cut a hole in the face with a sharp chisel and hammer. Cut the bridge in the middle so it wouldn't pass current and soldered the ammeter wires so i could use the posts for terminals like normal.
Craftsman GT3000 "MUTT" Part II - Page 5 20190212

Test without a window in, looks good!
Craftsman GT3000 "MUTT" Part II - Page 5 20190216

Cut a piece of plastic from an Utz cheese ball jug for the gauge face. The glass had broken a long time ago from floating around in the bottom of a toolbox. All crimped back together nicely.
Craftsman GT3000 "MUTT" Part II - Page 5 20190213

Little work with a holesaw and now i have something to remind me that i need to buy a new battery every time i turn the key on this thing.
Craftsman GT3000 "MUTT" Part II - Page 5 20190214

Also put a diode back in the lighting output of the coil to have a bit more use from the charging system.

Turning a junk ammeter into a digital voltmeter is a great low buck mod

I think so. Kinda wish it still had a glass window though, this one will probably get all scratched up and hard to read during the daytime eventually

I think 6 amp 1000v? Can't remember. Bought a 20 pack a few years back off of ebay. About half the time they seem to burn up, start backflowing, and try to set themseves on fire after a few months, but every other time and even the ones that eventually fail work the same as factory. These are just cheapo chinese ones so I don't expect much from them.

Just curious... I have a small pack of 6amp 50V that I was considering on one of those opposed that working with. I think that I read somewhere that would work.

Should. These stators put out about 14V AC and it's rectified to probably less than that, and they're 5amps max. Although I've never seen mine go over 4 lol. It's a good idea to have an ammeter so you can see when they fail before they let the smoke out of the stator.
