| Lets do our parts in trying to keep the Build Topics uncluttered with random discussions. Please feel free to bring those build off discussions to this topic!
Build Off starts in 1 week, February 1, 2019!
Good luck to the participants!

| I wish the build off season could be shifted to take place over the winter instead of the summer. How it is currently set up is great for the younger guys that have summers off, but I work myself to death that time of year. The only time I realistically have time to build a build off machine as a self employed handyman that could actually place is over the winter when my work is slower, but that's between build-off seasons.
Mud Rat is still for sale by the way and would make a great build off machine for someone. I'd be willing to meet someone halfway for the right price.

| I do have a question for the admins running the 2019 build off, I know using a atv frame is not allowed, but is using the front section of one grafted on to a lawn mower chassis allowed? I was thinking of doing my little JD82 with full front and rear suspension and entering the build off but want to know if my plans to use the entire front end off an atv would disqualify me. | |

| I personally do not think a whole piece grafted on would be allowed. Maybe @Doug, @Doc Sprocket can chime in. I know @Doc Sprocket grafted "pieces" of an ATV suspension in, but not a whole section last year. If I hear otherwise, I will update. EDIT: Moving posts to Build-off discussion

Haha, Carl, the old man!! Seriously though, I don't get summers off either. I school year-round to make up time for ranch work. The only time I get time to work on stuff is mostly in the early colder months (November, December, January) when there's no work to be done (February I'm staying up all night with newborn lambs LOL), so I agree with this.

OK, here is the Ruling on the Question! - @Doug wrote:
- Depends on how much of the frame. Like if it's just the frame where the suspension brackets are that would probably be fine so long the vast majority of the new frame is inherently within the rules

| @Crazy_Carl yeah I agree. Spring summer and fall I'm booked every day of the week mowing lawns. To get anything done on the mowers I got to be up late at night plus make time for night school. October-April would be ideal for build off but for us that don't have heated places where we could spray paint becomes a problem. I really like the idea though of a winter build off. | |

| I’ll be in....but priorities. I’ve gotta get some more parts ordered for the impala. I want that car running by the end of next month. The ranger is good where it’s at, gotta fix both snowblowers (by the time I fix them next weekend we will probably be done with snow for the year), but the mk2 is going to haspin. So it’ll get done in a timely fashion....once I start on it lol
Also on the subject of haspin I’m hoping to have my diesel generator running and I’ll bring it and the box trailer. I’m gonna be livin the high life, no leaky tent for me hehe. Might even have my fridge and microwave. At least the microwave...

| I'm going to go ahead and enter this one. No, this will be more of a utility build. The interest appears to have been lost with the kids for the time being. | |
