| Looking at the Operating & Maintenance Instructions shows that engine 31xxxxx has a displacement of 30.59 cu. in. (501 cc)
Most manufacturers are getting away from the HP and using CC's. Some still use Both. Using the 501 cc, you can google and find that it is about 17hp.
EDIT: the Operating instructions show the (501 cc) as well. | |

Thanks ok I see it now, just funny how they only advertise on the engine cover, and all over the tractor, but when looking up parts there is no way to verify... I don't even have the tractor now but I did take a picture of the tag before I junked it so I am glad I did. | |
