So Iwe a mount and shifter, that's about it tho. I need to figure out the ragb setup and I think I am going to run belts on both ways.

So is it not going on the Murray?

do you have more work to do to mount the transaxle? I can’t tell from the pictures if the axle tubes are bolted to your tractor frame or not.

The axle mounts halfway bolt up, I am going to weld some extra material so I can bolt the front holes up.

that sounds like a pretty easy fix it looks like it fits and they’re great.

I was hoping the 2300 was going in the Murray.

Well looks like the engine is going to be pulled so I can flip it over and remove the mowing hardware and figure out the gearbox setup. A belt twist wpuld be easier..............took off the hood and dash, rest is going to get removed probably too for wiring.

What are your thoughts on converting it to a horizontal shaft engine to eliminate the beltwist or RAGB?

Not many thoughts on that. Cause I don't have a horizontal engine

Huh. I just threw away the base from my horizontal....... It had 650 hours on it and bad compression amount other things . Too bad i threw it out.

I made that mistake several years back before I realized I could convert.

so do the verticals have the oil lube pressure holes in the block?

So could I justjust mount the engine onon its side ? I till have the oil sump part and the intake manifold.

Don't take my word for it, but I think so.

You'd have to do something for a dipstick tube as well. Also I'm not sure how you'd bolt it down to the frame in that configuration.

Well I stripped off most of the mowing hardware and wiring. Drive train work up next.

Got one tire home, still haven't found the other one. Has a lot of dry got cracks but only leaks from a small one so slime or tubes will fix it. A lot wider than the previous tire was, so the rack is in the way and is going to be removed.

Hey that looks really good on there! Should look pretty slick with both mounted up. Also that tire appears to have great tread, like it was hardly used almost. Pretty good for free! Haha.

Now locating the other tire is going to be very hard, as I simply stumbled on this one and the other is somewhere around his 6 acre yard that has dozens of machines and dozens of vehicles and with enough parts to build a battleship buried all over with tons of combines half emerged in the ground . Oh and the amazing wild blackberries that have half inch razor sharp thorns cover the edges of the property.

Yeah, tomorrow I am getting a trailer and the cub cadet . Hopefully get that running to tow stuff around the yard and mowing . Also I am getting a dyt 4000 from a guy . Might get that mowing and then sell the mtd and keep the craftsman. Options galore

Figuring out belt twist ideas. Still working on it, and will probably end up with something like mighty has on kal-el .
