| Your mower is getting cooler and cooler! Make a step pulley, so you only need to swap the belt between fast and slow, instead of swapping pulleys, belts,..... | |

| Not a bad idea. Once I get to know this trans axle I will most likely find the right gearing with out swapping anything . right now I'm new to the hi- low range. I'm sure the low gears will be almost unusable to me | |

| I have a Hi/low on my wheel horse. I see no need for step pulleys although that is a really good idea. i’m topping out around 12 mph in high range and I barely use low range. first gear is still pretty low in high range so I can just drop into that to crawl up something steeper. I guess it all depends on what kind of top speed you’re looking for. | |

| Something I'd suggest is either a torque converter or an MTD's vari drive. They work great unless they are underwater, and that way you could change ratios as you drive. | |

| Had some time today so I got the winch mounted. Next few days will be dedicated to finishing up the bumper. I'm going to have to add stops because the front axle allows the tires to articulate into the winch on this side and the pull start on the other | |

| I'd recomend mounting shocks to the axle; keeps the axle from overpivoting, and gives it high speed stability, but doesn't take away the vital pivot in the axle. | |

| Ok bumper is done still have more welding to to on it and clean up but I will finish that up when I take it all apart for paint. Yesterday I hooked up the rear brake then got to work on the front brakes. Front brake is basicaly line lock and is controlled seperate of the rear this way I can lock the lever down for winching Here are the parts I'm using to make the front brake. Cut the bottom of the shock off to use as a bushing and also the shock mount off the a arm. Lever Homemade tap Only half the hole is tapped so the cable can mate up to the plate till I get the thump screw adjusters. The old ones are broken. And the bumper got the shackle mounts welded on. | |

| Not much of an update. Been busy with work and also picked up a ford lgt 125 so messing with that here and there. I did finish up most of the welding installed a seat. I hope by end of the build to come up with a pan seat as I think it would match the style I'm going with more. I picked up a can of ih red paint to see what that would look like and was not happy with the out come. Its a very bright almost pink tone in the right light. Also painted it when it was 105 degrees and very humid so it didnt come out well. With that said I'm changing the color. Going to go with white and black | |
