Mine had all brackets that mounted to the transaxle.



Then that mounted to the bottom of the frame. You see those with the 8 shiny nuts behind the shifter.

800 miles away, Wife and kids, no free vacation due to dog surgery.  Man that would be fun to do!  Haspin style riding is pretty much how I am building it, but I cannot

Couple minor things... anti-skid on the foot boards.  Fuel line run. Fuel tank cleaned.  Just need a new cap.






I really need to figure out my camera settings.  Tractor looks a little funny in them.  Also, Like AK did on his GT6k, I may need to create a steering stop as if I over-steer I can get into the foot board if I would hit a bump.

Carl, I may have to mimic your gas petal design maybe? I hope you do not mind. I think it would work well on this machine.

oh those mounts look nice! i found out the 2300 rear axle plates bolt halfway onto a craftman rear end.

Half way is better than not at all!

What does the diff look like? Do you lock them like an 820 or is your model the 2317 with the limited slip?

It is a 2348, not a LSD.    



I was going to Doc Loc it, but decided to buy an extra set of spider gears and fozzy locked it.  That way should I not like it, I can back out and re-evaluate.

Your Paint looks nice. Whats the sense of using 4 different colours?

Your Trans is made out of cast iron... looks much more solid and heavy duty than a cast aluminium trans

Feel free to copy my gas pedal mighty.  I'm willing to get you more information, dimensions, or pictures if you need them.  The pedal does twist a little bit under heavy foot pressure but I like all the features my pedal design has over a brake handle.

Progress is looking great on your tractor.  Everything is looking really clean. Is the yellow handle by the rear fender the brake handle or is that to set the parking brake?  Let me know how you make out finding a replacement gas cap for your fuel tank.  That cap looks very similar to the one I have in Ol' Red and I've had some issues finding a replacement that will thread on like the original one.

I'm just having fun with it. I don't count the black frame or white wheels. Project is Kal-El, so I am using blue, red, and yellow as my theme.

I think I will be fine. I was thinking maybe just for general concept design. There may be some making it my own.

Doing some body cleanup.  I forgot and came across these cracks again.  Not sure why they are there because when I took them apart this was not a stress point?





No painting today.  It's only 48 today and heavy rain.  We should be back to 70 by monday.  Maybe then. I can see if I can weld them up.

Maybe the material fatigued there and it cracked somewhere down the line.

There's two things I would do if I were you to make a better gas pedal than I did. First I'd use a better pivot like a shoulder bolt or bushing instead of just a 1/4-20 bolt. I would make the pedal part from scratch instead of using the go-kart pedal so you could build one strong enough that wouldn't flex under the pressure of your foot on it when the pedal is depressed down all the way.

That's just a 1/4 20? I was thinking of a 3/8 and using some angle iron to make a pedal.

Looking great mighty! Really liking the paint scheme on this. What size is that fuel tank? Looks pretty big.

I want to say 2.5 gallon.  I need to look that up.  Next picture tomorrow will show some good changes.    I have some paint curing right now.

Your Mower starts to get finished! Installing the hood, fender, seat, and you can go romping! And with those colours, you can find your mower quickly between the other ones. Ca'nt wait to see the GT on his 1st romp.
