1993 Craftsman LT4000 heavy mud build.

That's what was wrong with my LT1000 when I got it. Bearing in the plastic idler seized and the belt ate the pulley. Just threw a different idler on, got a new belt, and that was all it took to fix it. Damn plastic pulleys, lol

Just get a metal pulley instead.

So when it freezes up the belt gets burned up instead of the plastic pulley??

well....the belt is cheaper than the pulley....

not really. all my belts are 20 bucks at the cheapest, an idler is mabye 15

for me, belts are like 10 and an idler is at least 30.  TSC is so expensive.

yeah. i might go out later and clean my fuel system and swap carbs if i get more homework crap done,.....then i will go mudding ! and try out some different filming styles

Not sure why the adjustment screw looks like that,
The one with the spring under it is normal I thought but the other one looks so much different nut appears to be intentional. Anybody know why they look like this?

Well got it running , took it for a romp, and had a BLAST!!! Videos soon to come!!! For once I didn't get stuck but I need to make belly pans because I had the clutch potter pin and belt get knocked off with all of the small trees and brush hitting them.

I do not think the one without the spring is adjustable?

Really? Well I just cleaned the one that was on it . It had sand in the bowl and the jet was 90% clogged . I think it was getting in through the holes that the air filter is bolted on with so I put some wing nuts on it with a seal under so hopefully that keeps it cleaner. I only had one issue with it running while I was out mudding but it does run very well now.

@biggasmowers The engine does sound pretty good in your video. I like the different camera angles you tried. I can't believe how much mud covered you and your machine. Your mud looks like freshly mixed concrete down there. No wonder you get stuck so much. Thank god for pressure washers too.

That's the cleanest mud I have been in for a year or so. No gravel or sand or rotten fish !!! Cleaned up pretty well considering every inch of fenders was plastered.

Yeah , or just a stronger case........ it might have been because of my locked front end that put too much force on the diff. Still I want to run around screaming big obscene words and blow the mower up .

Ak, the frame doesn't bend, cause of how well i reinforced it, but the tranny mount did bend slightly.

Ah, yeah it looks like the mount bent a bit. Still pretty wild though, haha. Should put those pictures in the FAIL thread.
