So I was tinkering around with some stuff, and I thought it'd be neat to have like a snorkel type thing that went under the dash I bet. Here's what I came up with:







Not really serving much of a purpose, but it's still kinda cool. Haha.

Looked better after some paint:

I do not know about snorkle, but it does look very automotive.

That's pretty cool. Is that airbox sealed(besides that outlet)?

Oh sealed! I read it as "Are they steel?" Hahaha, my bad. The only part where it isn't sealed is where the air cleaner enters the firewall type thing. I thought about making a rubber boot for that part though maybe.

Haha i thought so. I think it's good to get the intake away from the hot engine, cold air is denser, so more bang in one pulse!

Yeah that's sorta what I figured, I mean there's probably enough air flow in there that it's not a big deal, but still. It's not like it hurting anything I guess, haha.

I did a bit of work with 'er this morning:





Trying to dry the ground out a bit. She just kinda played with that disk and harrow, woulda been nice to have some better tires though, haha.

Those are some nice tractor tires on the left there. Have you read @Crazy_Carl's sig lately?

Yep, those are the duals for the ol' D15 and two for the D17 as well. Also yeah, haha, the Red Green quote is funny.

Another small item today, I removed my winch controller from the deck lift handle.



Nice to be able to hold on to it sometimes and I couldn't do that with the controller on there.

So after staring at it for a while I figured out I could just mount it horizontally on the dash with a U-bolt going through the original throttle slot.





Worked out pretty nice! Haha.

That's a nice spot for the winch controller, between the light switch and key switch. I love that steering wheel!

Thanks Matt! Yeah that's the steering wheel out of a '79 F100 because the factory plastic one was somehow obliterated by the previous owner. I like it though, it's a lot bigger than ones on the other tractors so it kinda feels like you're driving a semi. Hahaha.

Wow that's a simple fix for mounting that controller. Nice one.  Although you could have used the handyman's secret weapon instead.

Other than probably wheel spin, how did the GT handle the implements?

Ever thought about putting wheel weights on her Allis? That'd be helpful for a work rig.

She actually did a pretty good job. The first circle was pretty diffucult because of the wet ground, but after a few rounds it was doing much better.

Yeah that'd help for sure, but I got some tires picked out for it so I should have my traction problem fixed when I eventually get them, haha.

Extra weight on the back really helps. I had wheel weights on mutt once, along with the execs. Pretty deadly combination haha

Yeah for sure, even if I hung some weight off the back off the hitch plate somehow it'd help I imagine.

Careful with hitch weight to counter it in the front or steering may be a challenge!
