2003 heavily modified Murray Off-road tractor

I get like a half inch of snow every four years.

Wow, it's been like 70* here the past few days. Looks fun!

Wellllllllllllllllll darn. Wrecked it. left a huge dent in the tree but my bumper handled it just like it should , no issues after that time...... tool it put drifting and went sideways along the tree row and French kissed a 15 inch thick hackberry tree. Then i almost flipped it and had it on two wheels when I got traction coming put of a drift, then after that I lost control on the road and hit the ditch hard and gave my front end some wiggle room. Then I was playing around on the hill put back and the tranny torqued and blew the diff bottom out. Still drives but grinds some. Might just send it..... tool video but I think my camera was covered in moisture so it might be screwed up foptage.

Yeah but with a locked or non existent diff once you catch a slide you really can't get out of it . Even more so cause I have lame *** golf cart slicks on the front.

Going to go back out and take pics of the carnage, might do some work on the snapper because school was canceled today. Still super icy out .

Man, that murray shore don't like life.   First it was a knocking engine, then the tranny, and now the tranny again!!!

I know right! Needs a doc locked 820 or something . If I ever get ahold of one it will go in the Murray and if that blows then I'm screwed.

This re-affirms that you are a Certified Transmission Limitations Tester ( CTLT). So when are you getting a Wheel Horse 8 speed that has 1 1/8 axles in a bomb proof cast iron housing?

That's when you get a four wheeler and throw the Murray body over the wheeler frame. 

Naw. I aint a fan of atvs. The parts are too pricey and hard to get easily. Nowers, even being breakdown prone are cheaper.

Well I can't decide if I want to part this thing out or put a new tranny in it . I don't currently have a spare tranny but might be able to find a spicer for it but I just don't know if it's worth putting money into when I could use the engine on something else ,and use the front end stuff on the quag mower or the muckraker.

Part it out, I say. But that's just the hate for murrays in me talking haha.

With the time you have invested in it, I would try to revive it and keep modding it.

Yeah. Idk. I have countless hours of thought and hard work in it. I might just strip it down and re build the frame so there's not any frame flex and put a different hood on it with a different steering assembly , I really don't like the idea of demolishing it like other failed mower projects.

My mind is way to active for my body. I went out and just looked at it and mostly decided to part it out, as I realized the only thing that's durable on it is the rack , front end, and engine. The frame is most likely bent from all of the flips it's had and the console is broken , the steering wheel and shaft is bent terribly , the gas tank is cracked bad, the tranny is exploded. I could use the front end parts on the mtd, and put the engine on the mtd, use the pulleys on the mtd, rear tires on something like the muckraker when it gets a front end job, and use the rack on something along with all the various parts I put on it. It's too much work to get it running when I have other mowers in better condition with better frames and everything.

This sounds like a pretty honest assessment of the machine in its current state.  It sounds pretty rough and I don't blame you for wanting to part it out.  It almost sounds like you need a whole new tractor! lol

Disassembly will start once I am able to turn a wrench again.

Tractors are sacrificed to help other tractor projects, I guess you could can that the circle of life eh? Haha.
