| Subject: Transaxle seems stuck closed... January 25th 2017, 8:33 pm | |
| I'm currently setting up to do a lock on the Transaxle, the regular Fearless lock. I went ahead drained the oil, removed the bolts, and propped it up. Then I tapped the case a few times and it wouldn't budge. Took a screwdriver to the seam and knocked it a few times, all it did was put dents in the case. Any advice for opening it up? | |

| Thin metal putty knife. The silicone gasket maker used to seal em up is likely what is sticking it together | |

| Could be that pesky bolt in the center of the case. Easy not to see it because it is countersunk in the case. | |

| Ah yes, it may be under the pulley (looking at it from the top) or it could be coming up from the bottom. Those middle bolts are easy to miss. | |

| Definitely look for the bolt(s) on the other side in close to the center depending on trans-axle. Also, I had to use a metal putty knife and hammer to get mine open. | |
