I've got a tecumseh peerless 5 speed and the input shaft is very stiff to rotate. I have had it apart and all the bushings are seated correctly. The whole transaxle is in good condition and so it seems strange that it is so stiff. The motor does drive it but is there is some belt slippage due to the power needed to drive the input shaft. I had one of these transaxles before with a similar problem. Does anyone know why it may be like this?
