| New tractor project. Some back story.. my grandfather aquired this in the mid 70s. It was dropped off for him to repair and never picked up. He used it has his personal tractor up until the day he passed. Since then the only time it has moved was when we picked it up with the boom pole of out farm tractor and moved it to the fence line. mY grandpa fixed mowers for many many years, and my uncle owns a mower race track so there are tons of old tractors laying around between the two. I drug the suburban out of the weeds and brought it home. Will get some bumpers, a winch, the 26" rear tires, and 22" fronts, with a welded transaxle. | |

| Nice find. I kind of wish mine had that frame that accepts the mule drive. Looks like you've got a few sears projects lined up. | |

| ^^Oh now that just showing off.... lol. Id like to get a couple parts tractors. Or atleast some spare transaxles. Thinking about locking one, hate to have it blow up and not have replacement parts. | |

Well it started got some fine tuning to do but it's a start It sounds pretty good, are you planning on a pulley swap or are you leaving it stock?

| It has a 5" pulley on the motor already.
Ran about 12 mph on the 23" tires.
The larger tires will speed that up some.
If I want to go fast I'll get on the racing mower. speed isn't a priority for the trails well be on

| Our racers run 60mph. I've had a woods mower that did 20 in the past and it doesn't do much good when you are in low range 1st gear crawling rocks and creek beds anyhow | |

| Dropped the transaxle to make it a posi. Put fenders and seat on from one of the parts tractors. Recentered a set of 10" atv wheels using the centers from a set of 8" tractor wheels. Rear sits 39" wide, front sits at 40" and 22" tires clear full steer and full axle pivot. | |

| To fit the 14 horse in had to remove the fuel tank and battery tray. This is where I'll be mounting the battery. Had to notch the grille to clear the air box. This side was already cut by my grandpa to clear the air filter of the 10hp briggs I took off so no harm no foul. | |
