redzz02 dynamark build

so i entered in the build off last year and gt absolutely nowhere, life came down on me hard and i just had no time or money at all for this build, i entered a craftsman last year but will be entering one of my dynamarks,

the goal for the build is to have a 4 wheel drive mower

will be getting a rear wheel steer transaxle as the front axle
quad tires
a good power plant
shiny paint
cool sparkly things
and maybe a winch but we will have to see

Good luck. Full time or selectable 4x4?

yes doc life can suck at times and get in the way of what you want to do and what needs to be done, and 802 customs, its going to be selectable ill be able to lock in the front or rear axle independently so i can do front digs

Nice! What engine?

Neat. I've heard people saying that those rear wheel steer setups don't turn sharp enough to use for front steering. I always though it would be neat to use them front and rear if that's the case, then you'd have pretty good turning radius in tight spaces.

I'm gonna run my 14 hp vangaurd off my racing mower, and I guess we will find out if they can thrum sharp enough, I'm pretty sure they can you just gotta make your own steering linkages

What axle do you have in the picture?

im not sure i didnt look at the tag but it is a rear steer axle im going to be using on the front, heres some pictures of what im kindof shooting for

also if anyone knows where i can get 10 inch rim shells at it would be greatly appreciated, i want to make my own rim centers and cannot find any online anywhere

im hoping to put pressure on alot of peoples builds and show what can be done to a mower, the more i think about it im not sure if i wanna run the vampires just because im not planning on upgrading trannys anytime soon

I know what you mean. I think I'm the black sheep of this build off. Kind of don't know where I stand yet, but sofar alot of positive feedback on mine. I think people are still wondering if I'm even going to finish, lol. I think I'll finish, I need my build to plow out my driveway this coming winter, LOL.

started reinforcing the frame and making axle mounts i dont have pictures of it yet, but gave it 5 1/4 inches of lift and only have the rear axle mounts made so far

got some more frame work done

waiting until i find the correct tranny to make the front brackets and finish the bracing

Nice build I love the vampires but maybe leave the diff's open to save the trans. And I'm also having troubles finding 10" rims. My bolens is running 11" in the front and 9" in the rear so current tire options are few and far between.

heres some pictures of the progress, i got the front end pretty close to being done minus the shifter the clutch hooked u and deciding what size rim id to run in the front, i need to order some rod ends, fuel line,  fuel pump, and more little goodies

(photo below) the center pulley is the deck pulley with the center of the above pulley pictures welded as a hub, and the small flat idler is going to be the clutch for 4x4

update on the steering

heres some of an update i got the front axle all gear oiled up and sealed, i have the exhaust done as of today.

the to do list:
finish intake
make fuel tank
make shifters
add brakes
finish frame(waiting on metal)
dash board
paint

the little tabs on the bushings inside the transaxles, you have to make sure they are down in the groove


if they are up like this, your going to have a problem
