through out this build i have slacked off really bad on keeping you guys updated and even worse on my youtube channel the build off ends tomorrow and it is safe to say i will make the dead line, although it is not finished, it is more than finished for the competition, here are some pictures from the time of my last update up until today
the shifter to engage the 4x4
retaining plate to keep the shifter disengaged
put a spring on the rod so that when pushed forward it will spring back up into its locking place on the plate
stripped down to a bare frame getting ready for paint
starting to lay some color down
putting a little bit of color on the motor
bumpers
i do apologize for the pictures being sideways for some reason my phone likes to make them side ways, i will have more pictures of the final build either later today or tomorrow
Wait wait wait..... 4x4???!?!!!!?! Man that's awesome. What transmission are you using for the front and how are you engaging/disengaging it? Hope you finish.

Never mind it's all in your thread. I don't know how but I had missed this thread until now. Guess I've been busier than I thought. Lol keep up the good work.

life started out as a a dynamark 18/42 but it clearly has changed from that
motor: 16 hp briggs and stratton vangaurd twin, twin barrel intake and twin barrel carb
axles: front-peerless 930 5spd from an all wheel steer mower unlocked
rear-peerless 930 5spd locked
tires: 24 inch interco super swamper vampires
paint: Chrysler dark grey metalic, gloss black, and duplicolor anodized purple, and rustoleum bed liner
the moower has 10 inches of lift to accommodate for the pulleys and linkages for the 4x4 to work, plus who doesnt like lifts anyways? the sub frame is constructed of 3/4 inch square tube along with some flat plate and some 1x1 square tubing also, i did a Craftsman steering swap to make the steering work out a little bit easier, the front axle is a peerless 5spd out of a aws mower, and the rear axle is a peerless 930 5spd with a locker, the front axle is driven off of the rear axle, the motor drives the rear axle via belt, the motor has a 3.5 inch diameter pulley and the rear axle is 5 inch diameter double pulley, from there a belt runs to the front axle to a 5 inch diameter pulley, i have 3 shifter set up, 1 is to shift the front axle, 2 is for the rear axle, and 3 is to engage the belt for the 4x4. the stock brakes on the rear axle have been utilized for stopping this beast i also have made a fuel cell that is now mounted under the seat where the battery originally went, i put an universal sending unit from napa in it and a led fuel gauge that comes on when the key is on. led head lights and a single led tail light. the front bumper is made out of 14 gauge steel plate and some 1/2 inch flat stock for d shackle mounts, the rear axle is 1x2 square tubing and 1/2 inch flat for a d shackle mount.
heres a picture of what it looked like the day i entered
and a picture of it completed
if you have any questions feel free to ask, and just because the build off is now over dont think that m not gonna have a true testing video and pictures!
