| Well I have a somewhat of an update, I have just bought some LED lights to be put in the light sockets on the hood of the poulan, and I have aquired on some 1x2 steel a $4 for a 4' piece of steel. | |

Shift fork bent, shifter don't have enough clearances, shift keys, gears aren't lined up right, is a four speed, etc.

My friend had this problem and he never figured out that the shiftfork ball (I don't know the right term) fell out when he took it apart, until he blew out the back of the axle.

I'm thinking on swapping the shift fork from the trusty 801 or 844 5 speed into the 820 and trying that out. if that doesn't work then i think my 5th gear is stripped in a way I wont be able to fix it.

| Well uys I need your opinion, would a piece of 3/4" x 2" be enough to run as a front axle that is being used on a 4-link? And I have my LED lights from amazon and I am gonna try them tonight.

And a 3/4 x 2 should definitely work just make sure the wall of the metal is nice and thick but not too thick. mine is a 1 1/2x3 and it rubs some so ill have to do something about it. Maybe make it so it doesn't pivot idk. But yeah it will work.

But yeah it will work. ok, so next time i'm in at napa i'll get a peice of steel for the front axle then it is the time to get all the parts for the new 4-link setup. and BTW the LED lights work but might not be as bright as the normal 1156 bulbs because they don't throw light around in the headlight housing but I will use them in the small bulb housings I got for extra lights.

| All right guys, I have a update on this but I haven't done anything because of weather diffaculties. yesterday there was snow and the day before was 70*F. and now I am in the stage of not wanting to do anything, period. but the questions I have is what pulley ratios do I need to get to 40-50 mph with a vanguard 16 V-twin and 820 on 23-25" tires?

| I got paint for the tractor and I have the rear fenders off the tractor and I will have photos up here as soon as possible or a video of what has happened so far. I've still got a problem with the 820 slipping in 5th gear but that should be fixable when I get the money. | |

| I would try a 7 on engine and 4 on transaxle, i wudnt go any smaller or the belt would slip, those big tires should make it go quite a bit faster , maybe a better alternative wud b to put in a new set of gears in the transaxle, they arent cheap but wud pay for themselves in the long run because you wont need to aggressively pully swap it, anyway do wat u tink is rite and be safe. | |
