| I didn't see it already mentioned, but if you're wanting to go any faster, some major steering / front end upgrades are going to be needed. Your tie rods should be updated, as they will be the cause of most slop, and will be the most likely part to fail at speed. The high camber / zero caster front end is fine for mowing but will get squirrelly as heck around 20+ mph... There are threads on here somewhere about steering geometry. Fixing this takes effort and / or money, but not more than your hide is worth All in all, you do have a nice start! Keep up the good work! | |

Those snapper tractors had a variable disc drive. Sort of like the snapper rear engine riders. Doesn't have a trans axle. | |

| The rear end is almost exactly like a rear engine snapper except its has a drive shaft that comes from the front on mine instead of one that comes straight down like a rear engine snapper. And the only problem I have with the race mower is the belt layout which I think I might have finally figured out, I'm probably just gonna run it directly from the engine to the trans-axle , no clutch because when I had a clutch I never used it any way because it doesn't jerk very much at all and if I tried to use the clutch the belt would usually come off no matter how many retainers or tensioners I had. | |

| How hard would it be to run a clutch and chain from my engine to my transaxle, would having it upside down like that make it easier for it to fall off? | |

| Good thinking on the racer's back tires on shaving the turf savers. Now you got a good paddle wheel for mud racing. like the big rear bumper sticker too. | |
