Pulled the engine out of it so i could stand the tractor up easier and pulled out the front axle
Started patching holes in the frame that i don't need because they can be weak spots and could start cracking the frame when doing 50 mph and i didn't clean up the welds on the bottom yet going to finish it tomorrow
started reinforcing the frame because when i was driving i noticed some frame flex dont want that
What the patched holes look like from the top
only some of the holes patched doing more tomorrow
notched out the center plate so my shifter would fit
My front axle its 21 in long so im going to get a 1 1/2 x 3 piece of square tubing to replace it and i'm going to get it 22 in long so it will widen it 1in

The metal i'm going to use to make my front axle came in the mail. Need to buy some spindles and spindle brackets and need to drill a hole in the middle of this axle for the bolt

Cross bracing the frame like that should stiffen things up a lot I would imagine. Pretty beefy looking front axle too. What kind of spindles and stuff are you thinking about using?
Excellent! id put like 5-8 degrees caster on the spindles when you weld them on. And the steering arms that come with them should be modified for acerman affect, so it will turn wayyyy better.
Take time welding the spindles on! Not a race. Clean up the metal and maybe look at different forms of welding to weld it on nice and solid. It's the difference between you and the pavement.

5-8 degrees positive caster? And i'm buying spindles from bmi karts or some go-kart place online not 100% sure yet

5-8 degrees positive camber?
No, he means caster, look HERE and HERE for your front axle advice.
The front axle on my rally has 10* positive caster, ackerman set-up, no toe, and no camber. It handles really well on and off road. Remember grind the end of your spindle into a point so you can get really good penetration on your welds.
Again.

I leveled my axle in a bench vise and used an angle finder to get 10*. Make sure your axle is squared off first (thus the vise). You should be able to get an angle finder at any major hard ware store. (Northern Tool, TSC, etc...)

Welded the transmission brackets to the frame The welds aren't pretty but there strong ill clean them up with the grinder. And i can weld better than that its just it was a tight area and it was hard to see how much of a puddle i was making to know how fast to move the welding gun.
Welded the corners of the frame too
Started stripping paint off the frame because i'm going to be welding up stuff for the steering

Started priming spots that i wont be modifying so it doesn't rust
I locked my mst 205 thats going to be used for off roading. My plan is 2 have 2 transaxles one locked for off roading then unlocked 206 or 820 for high speeds and each tranny will have different pulley sizes for different speeds and ill swap them out when i need them. the reason i'm not using a locked transmission is because i don't want a weld breaking at high speeds but i want pos for offroading which is why i'm going to use 2 transmissions. And my sisters tractor had a 6 spd spicer so i pulled it out and put this mst in it to test it before i use it in the racing tractor. but it will be awhile before the tractors done. and so far it works very well might lock the spicer for a spare.
welding in holes that aren't going to be used

My neighbor gave me a kawasaki bike front end so i took the parts i needed of it. and he gave me to bikes one im using for parts and the other im selling.
So i took all the switches of the kawasaki handlebar because its to big and i put them on the bike handle bar which i'm going to use and if i like it ill keep it on the tractor if i don't like it ill put a steering wheel back on.
I might use the twist throttle not sure
Got mirrors a speedometer which i dont think ill be able to use and a tach that i might be able to use.
And heres the tractor sitting in pieces lol
and my neighbor gave me a diamond plate tool box this is just the lid of it so ill be doing some cool stuff with this oh and i forgot to take a picture of them but i got directional lights too
