build off small talk

idk if im posting in the right section or not but anyways...what is there like maybe 2 thats done for the build off? i was hoping to see more even tho i was one of the ones that was not able to finish i knew if i couldnt get a welder i was done for lol

If im not mistaken only 3 people finished Mister Modified LMM and me now that there 2 more months a couple more people can finish. And i can add more stuff to my tractor   

Hope it makes it easyer on folks to finish. Make a judging fun. Wish the rules said thay had to do a romp vid or something the tracter is intended for  insted of just stop start and start on its on. This extintion also kinda sucks cause i would have entered a build and worked harder to get the parts but hay there is next time. If there is a next time. Id love to join next time. So till thin ill just collect parts till that day.

Now I'll have time to make a better video, after I get the clutch to work that is...

I didn't do a "build off" thread, but I finished my tractor a while ago.  Did mine in like 3 weeks total. It is in the offroad rally section

I'll try and address as much of this as I can-

*The rules with regards to stopping and starting, were created to judge completeness. If you have no brakes, it's not complete, therefore you don't have a shot at winning.

*A video is not mandatory, no. However- I'm pretty sure that if I was in the competition, I would post a good video of me thrashing the CRAP out of it- to prove to the people voting that not only does my build LOOK decent, it ROCKS! I would want to WIN. Wouldn't you? So no- it's not a rule. It IS a smart move.

*As you probably know by now, the deadline has been extended. We want to see more people finished, to make the whole thing more exciting!

*We have no problem hosting another Build-Off next year, as long as there's enough interest!

i plan on making a video of my tractor pulling stuff and doing wheelies lol maybe some mud too  and some flexing people on here seem to like tractor flexing. And without a video its hard to tell if your tractor really runs moves and stops.

I think he's saying that it sucks that he didn't know otherwise he would have entered and worked hard to finish but now there's not really enough time to start a whole project, acquire all the needed parts, throw it together, get it working and looking good, ect. unless you have a lot of free time to spend on the build.

That's the part that I"m lost at. NOBODY (including me) knew that we'd end up extending it past the original 6 months. Many people still entered, whether they managed to pull it off or not.

Yea i mean i dont wont to make just your avrege rally, mud, puller ect. Mower the plan i have would easely take the six month period maybe even need it 50% compleat when started. But non the less i think its great. That its extended. I ment sucks for me. Not that it shouldent have ben done. An craftmancale is right its just kinda short notice for people who would have liked to have entered and didnt cause of the time amount left. The build off i recon ill be there ready to go. Just gonna stack my parts in a corner with a plan in my messed up head and fly in soon as the gun fired. 
Far as the video, na its not required but its definetly gonna influence my vote.

Meanwhile, I have all intention to run another one next year as long as the interest is there.

Two months is no excuse. Im gonna enter once my truck passes Inspection and go hard in the paint to get it done before I go upstate in August.

Well you can say what ya wont. But im not gonna enter with two months when i know ill need all of six. Besides why enter in with people who have been building for eight months with a two month rig. I guess if your 14 or somethin. ( no afence) maybe its possible. But i have to make a living for 3 girls an a wife. Not gonna happin. But it will come.

Doug are u entering it late or something I didn't know u was in the build off I was considering to put one of my busted mtds in since I'm able to now finish one 8 weeks would be a good challenge for me and I might be able to pull up a welder now
