Was it free

montgomery ward   not tht bad looking, if the price wasnt high

looks pretty solid

I payed $40 for it. just ordered a chain for it, should be here in 3-6 days

hey doc, could you get a few pictures of your craftsman? I think it may have the same frame. thanks. oh, yeah,it starts up quickly every time and it runs great!

new tires! 15 front and 19 back

IM IN LOVE!!    I had one of these I started bringing back from the dead, it didnt have a hood or motor but the rest was there. Everything was frozen up on mine and i got it all broke loose, made a new hood for it in metal shop, took it to my buddys to store it and a few months later he scrapped it  always wondered what kind it was and what the factory hood looked like. Looks tough with the big tires on on it

Classic look. I love it! Also the starter cup on the motor is cool. That crankshaft is a good one because it has the starter extension on it. You can put a recoil starter on it. Those tires really make it look good. I bet this thing will great capability. Does it have a differential? It would be easy to make it a live axle.

so whats your intention for it? Certain speed? complete overhaul? or just a get running and have fun mower

It would be sweet to be able to modify the Diff so you could lock / unlock it and run open if needed. Pavement work would want the diff open I think.

need some old rims with a little surface rust then just clear coat the entire thing lol rat mower

it had rusty rims, but i just thew these on cause they had the tieres on them already

filled the transmission with oil, and the rear pulley came right off! put a 3" on it and now need a 54" belt for it. pans are for a little speed with the abillity to mow in 1rst gear.

good deal! what year is it? my Montgomery wardis a 1985, 18 horse opposed briggs, its a BEAST!!! Stock tires, mostly stock, haven't got the playing money to do muck with it, considering its size, the rear tires are 23x9.50-12 . Its a GIANT tractor, well, at relative to a standard size tractor.

fixed the front tires that originally came with this, instead of the 10" rer ones
