can you still use a trans axle if you lift a mower like 6 inches or will the belt not be able to go on the pulley

Water line froze and I had to put a space heater in the doghouse over the well head. It is running again.

here i texas its ~50*F, what pisses me off is that itll be 80 degrees during the day and drop to 20*F at night. it pisses me off to no end.
