| Here is my build for the build-off! I am making a rally mower! It will be powered and driven by a 20hp Briggs Oppy and a 700 model peerless gearbox. The tires will (hopefully) be ITP hole-shots front and rear. It will be based off Stretch and TRB's rally mowers. Here's what I got so far! " /> " /> {EDIT IT DOES NOT HAVE SUSPENSION ANYMORE! SORRY FOR THE INCONVENIENCE}

| Thanks Doc!
All I need to do for the rear suspension is make a bracket for the shocks and for the front mount. Then it will be on to the driveline!

The swing-arm? Yeah it's out of a Japanese 110cc four-wheeler.

| Would I have to "race prep" my 700 to run no governor with a stock pulley swap?
If I do I will just run a governor because I am trying to keep this a "low-buck" build.

| I don't think deleting the governor is going to make any difference on whether the tranny should be race prepped. More important would be things like degree of overspeeding (pulley swap), size of tires, etc. | |

It will have a 3-4'' front pulley and a 7'' rear pulley and the tires will be 18'' tall. I was just wondering because the motor will be spinning it at higher RPMs.

| Yeah, it's not so much speed that breaks the tranny. It's the pressure. Higher speed pulley swaps and larger tires increase leverage on the transaxle. Removing the governor does increase the top speed of the engine, but adds comparatively little stress. | |

| Ok. After looking the throttle set-up on the oppy i can't seem to find a good place to run the cable to by-pass the governor.
TRB could you put up a picture on where you ran your throttle cable?

| There might be a shot of it in one of our threads. I'm not planning to be at Stretch's, where the tractors are, anytime soon. I'll see if I can find a pic. | |

Yes, I am going to cut a hemisphere in the frame so it can have more travel. No I didn't get the original shock with the swing-arm.

| I made the front mounts for the swing-arm permanently mounted yesterday. Also found these in my barn from an old snow-mobile! " /> " /> These are for later. | |
