Looks pretty nice and tucked in. You think you'll need any guides to stop the belt from dragging? Looks like a pretty nice setup when it's loosened up, maybe it won't need too much.

The belt seems to stop good on the mudder right now, ill see. yea its hard to make something and still save room for steering in between the frame rails.

Little update. pulley system and clutch are DONE!

Stock MTD parts mower clutch petal. made it more narrow, flipped the clutch foot bar at the end of it around, and grined off the original welded pieces on it off and welded the mounts to the frame.



Made the clutch linkage, rod ends and adjustable.


Clutch pushed in


Clutch pulled out


Just modified some linkage for the spring


I made this a while ago, a nut welded to a bolt, ran thru a welded washer to the frame and a nut on the other side, adjustable spring. Thats for when i test drive i can control how it handles

Next step is all the steering and steering colum, some tyranny work and brakes. Still a bit ways off, but a test run shall be in order soon

Yea it kicked over one but didn't stay running long. Fuel pump might be bad or might not be.

yea, I can pull one off my other briggs twin and use that for the time being

I was just trying to avoid to buy a kart axle, and so far its much cheaper. i guess if this was to really chatter in a million pieces id just buy a kart axle, but i think it will work fine. will be welded posi. And no, the front extra wide stance doesnt bother me much

Hey man if I were you I'd add some triangles to that wimpy little spring retainer on the clutch pedal, I can see that thing bending when ya dump the clutch.. Just saying..

Spring retainer? like the rod i welded to the petal rod? There isnt to much juping around on that side of the belt, if anything the load it has on it now is the most there ever will be. takes a little bit of force to bend that rod anyways, so i think it will be fine. Thanks though!

Thing really looks pretty neat when it's all put together like that. Think it'll pull the front wheels off the ground? What did you say that engine is rated for?

21.5HP, Yea, i bet it will with my a$$ right on top of the rear tires, a wheelie bar might be in order....
