| I got this for free because my grandpa was going to take it to the scrapyard but if I went and got it I could have it. it has a 302 small block and a c-6 automatic. I just put some gas in the tank and it started right up and runs just fine on 10 year-old gas. the tires hold air and everything is there execpt for the diver's parking lamp. it is the same one as the ranchero and I can't find one anywhere. if anyone can help me find one that would be great. | |

| That's a super cool car! I wouldn't trash it, no way. Fix it up and drive it. You will not see another one on the road. That thing would look badass if you spray bombed it flat black lmao! | |

| well, my carb is leaking, as far as i can tell. if it sits for more than a week you have to pour gas down it a cupple times and crank it a lot to get it to run, and hold the gas down. if it sits for a few days all i have to do is pump it twice, twist the key, and your off. can anyone else think of why this would happen? | |

| When my engine is cold I only have to pump once or twice (Dodge 318 V8). Might have an air leak somewhere in the fuel system that is draining fuel back. Also, replace your fuel filter. Its only a couple bucks. I replaced mine and noticed a HUGE difference in performance starting wise. | So I got this started up again on saturday, and I found that the mice have been having the time of their lives destroying the carpet and carpet pad. So my new plan is to rip out the carpet and padding, paint the floor with black anti-rust paint or bedliner, and get floormats for it. I want to cover the seats and dye or paint the rest of the interior black, and eventually paint the outside red. I have a AOD that I could swap in, or a tremec t-5 that I could use, but that would be a lot of work. I am leaning toward a AOD, and then putting on a 4v carb and headers. Then cut off the muffler. I have snow tires for it, so I am planning on a hunting car Patrick Mcmanus style essentially. | |

| got power adjustable bucket seats in it from a contour, and got the mice and carpet removed. I plan on a dual exhaust and shorty headers, and a B&M unimatic shifter, and maybe even a center console, but probably not. the carpet and pad weighs at least 200 lbs, so I am saving some weight. | |

| Well I haven't done much, but I have been tuning the carburetor and working on the exhaust. I cut the muffler off and ran a straight pipe for a few months, but got sick of it. I finally got a glass pac and welded it on. The next thing I am going to do is weld a 3" tip on it that comes out right behind the door and right in front of the rear tire. The next thing I want to work on is swapping the stock 2 bbl carb and cast iron manifold for a 4 bbl holley and aluminum manifold that I have. there is the glass pac. I just welded it to the end of the stock y-pipe where the original muffler was. | |
