| for christmas 3 years ago, my grandpa got me an 18 volt Porter-Cable drill and circular saw set. -the drill: plenty of power, even when the battery is low. i have assembled everything from TV stands to full size decks with it. she never lets me down. there is another model (newer) same as mine, but with a metal chuck and an LED light. -the saw: the saw hasnt seen nearly as much use as my drill, but enough to tell me that its ballsy. zips through 2x4's, blasts through 2x6's, pressure treat decking slowed it down a bit, but it powered through. mind you, make sure your extra battery is avalible and charged, because it eats them up alot faster than the drill. the blade that came on it is junk. got dull fast and warped. i replaced it with a dewalt framing blade, which is still as sharp as the day i put it on. | |

| When I get my credit card paid off im going to get a set of the 20v li-ion. My grandparents have an 18v PC drill and it works better than my bosses DeWalt set. Head Forum Administrator ** Chat Moderator ** Facebook Page AdminATLTF Facebook Page ** Chatbox ** How To Upload Pictures

| I use a corded saw for anything thick. Cordless tools are only really good for light duty stuff. Like plywood. Head Forum Administrator ** Chat Moderator ** Facebook Page AdminATLTF Facebook Page ** Chatbox ** How To Upload Pictures

| dont have a corded to my disposal, and i didnt want to ruin a new chain on my saw by cutting pressure treat with it. i ended up putting my old dull saw chain on and just finishing up with my MS170 | |
