| I recently got a Bolens ST110 for free from a buddy along with another mower that he wants me to help him build. The bolens has a briggs 11 horse flatty but im not sure if it runs yet. It feels like it has low compression as of right now. But that might be just because im used to building high performance high compression engines. lol. Only time will tell. Here are some pictures of my build! | |

| [img] [/img]Thanks for the help! This is what it looks like as of right now. Shoupld have more pictures to come tomorrow. Motor has the potential to run some starter fluid so i need to get some of that gold we call gas and hopefully can take it for a test run. It has a 5 inch front pully and a 6 on the back. id imagine that is a pretty good ratio. wont be super fast but wont be gutless either. I plan on puttin a rack on the back of it and a stack or sidepipe. Maybe a snorkel. And a gas pedal. Im leaving the governor hooked up so the engine hopefully last me a long time. | |

| Hey guys here is kind of an update! Put the deck raise/ lower lever as a stack, going to put a larger diameter pipe after the bend so its not such a popping loud and is more of a deep engine sound. The mower sat for 9 years before I got it so a carb clean was needed, It was pretty bad with the varnished gas and the water corrosion in the bowl so i sanded it out. All clean and put a coat of rust paint on the bowl. Had to tak her out for a test run. All is good! Hood just sitting on it test fitting wiht he exaust. | |

| i have the same tractor. those 11 hp briggs have a habbit of losing compression. the cause is the cylinder wearing out. | |

| UPDATE! I built my gas pedal from a dirtbike brake lever that was broken. It kind of worked but my foot couldnt really get enough leverage on it to push it easy. " /> So i drilled two 1/4inch holes in it and welded in two bolts that i cut the heads off to a steel pedal and bolted it to the lever. Works way better. Also added a return spring that ended up being too strong. " /> Then I took off the original small stack and cut it after the 90 degree bend. Then i sut 4 slit into the end of a pipe thats like 1 1/2" and smacked the ends with a hammer until it fit pight on the smaller pipe and welded it all solid. Then I cut another piece with two angles and welded it on to pint out like a tractor. Sounds better and redirects the exhast from my face. lol " /> Also installed my hood and stuff! " /> | |

| Welp boys now I did it.. Fudged the tranny ups! Input shaft was all dickered up and some of the theeth on other gearsa were chewed up so i took a geatset out os a 930 and swaped em in plus the bevel gear. The input shaft needs to be shimmed to make contact with the bevel gear but i put it back together and mounted it before I noticed I forgot to do so. I just left her there for the night gonna fix her tomorrow after I put a slave cylinder and radius arm bushings on dads truck..

| Well guys Im back on the build.. Painted my rim gloss black, not that youll be able to see it very long. Also was testing some stuff and made a glasspack style muffler for it.. Drilled a bunch of holes in my exaust pipe. ( 1.5 inch or so) Then bent the holes so they kinda grab the exhaust flow Then wrapped the holes with steel wool and slit 2 brake cleaner cans over the steel wool with an interferance fit. I then installed it to my exhaust in place of a straight pipe. Makes a huge difference. I also coated it with some silver paint. Dont have a picture yet it gets dark to dang early.. | |

| Cool glass pack. i hope it works out for you. i saw someone take a screwdriver to each of those holes and bend the screw drivder over, so the holes had little holes to pick up the air flow better, like little scoops
