What have you done to your tractor today?

Stretch and I started working on the Wheel Horse last night. Stripped deck equipment off of it, changed the oil in engine and transmission, and looked at front axle and floorboard options.

Also did some test fitting / planning for my double seat for Chaos.

I was gonna do paint but the rain is making it too humod and my motivation is at 0.

Well I got my 5 speed peerless 844 cleaned and oiled, and mounted, now all I need is a 92" 1/2" belt that is $20 or more, and I aperently have a oil leak some where on the motor.      but other than that its mounted and ready to go, today I'm gonna be hooking up the shifting links.

i went to the junkyard today and picked up a running 18hp oppy and a peerless 700 (5 spd) for $40. all i had to do is pour some gas down the carb and hit it with a battery and fired right up without smoke! and as for the gear box it shifted through all the gears nicely and turned over. spent about 30minutes pulling them from the murray rer and the MTD
only thing wrong with the oppy is it has a dent in the flywheel screen where i flipped the mtd to get to the bolts

bought something last night, wallet feels empty now... its gonna be a suprise   

***** just got real I bought a few grade 8s for the motor mounts and nylocks... the motor is getting mounted this weekend! (if it is nice out)

Built a camera mast for the gopro last night. I came up with concepts and found the pieces, and Stretch welded it up. Did a test run and the footage came out pretty sweet! Will put together a video Friday.

I finally got back to my tire repair: T-Dub's Tire Bead Repair

Put it all together and pumped it up to seat the bead, then noticed a Hssssssssss.....     

Guess I had more than one hole in the tube. I hope to get back to it tonight. I also realized I need pics of the finished and Shoe-Goo'd bead for the thread. Hmmm...   

was workin on the top rails of the deuces bed when i got a package, so now im going through that

Got the diesel mounted yesterday worked on my sunburn a lil bit



Tucked the fuel lines in where I wanted them to give it that nice clean look :p

Last night I put another patch on my tube.      

Hopefully it will hold air again. One of these days!   

so im cruising down the road here at work and when i parked the tractor my rear tire starts hissing. and my jaw dropped my dang tires my fave ones too now i heav to break it down im guessing it was the tube but lost a pebble size chunk of rubber =(

got my big murray repainted, the tranny installed, pulley made, now just need a belt and a battery!

I was working on this machine, which is my friend's, and we pulled the transaxle. It had broken teeth on one of the gears. I was offering an extra transaxle I had to him for $60 (parts place wanted $175 for an axle). In an unexpected twist, he ended up trading it to me for a gas pressure washer  


It has a running Kohler Command 14.5hp OHV.


So now I'm not sure if I should make this a mudder, or try to sell it. The deck works fine and everything is good except the torn seat.

Sounds like a pretty good deal to me! I'm not familiar with the Kohlers, but as long as it runs it's good! Nice score.

Welded the pulleys i got from tsc and finished putting the trans axle back together.

I'm gonna be mounting a 6" pulley on my motor and see what it will do. hoping for 30tops.

i was out in the woods behind the shop having fun with one of the tractors......knocked the muffler off lol

Drove it around and flexed it out because their isnt anything else to do!

Looks like you need some more wheel speed to kick the mud off them tires

That is my delema ATM, I got too much belt slip. I need a 4" flat idler pulley. plastic ot Steel I don't care, as long as its got a good bearing in it.

do you have any decks to get the pulley off of or maybe the ariens has one?
