| Nice work! Nice tools are good to have ... Are you going to do side leg protectors at all? I like the flex! That will definitely help alot! It feels much more sturdy when all the wheels stay planted. | |

I think I will, I relly wanna give it a test run first though! Ordered a 93 inch long belt! It'll be long! Gonna cost me £18 for a kevlar one. I think thats pretty good personally!

Just to make them sit flush with the frame. It's not loosing any strength. Just to make it look better really.
And I'll get a photo of the ramps soon. They're just made of 1" angle iron I think. Very simple design. Very useful too!

| Hey Chunk. I saw your comment on a thread on here (don't remember which one) But you asked my gear ratio. I have 5.5" on the back, and a 4.5" on the front. I'm probably going to get a bigger one on the front, because I have enough power for more speed, without loosing too much torque. | |

| I really like that clutch set up in that pic. I wanna do something similar on the murray. Might do a murray rebuild after I finish the crawler. we'll see.
I hope you get a clutch figured out soon Chunk, your probably itching to ride it!

| It's been a little slow around the forum the last couple of days. Especailly in the project builds area.
Thought I'd update on my ALKO a bit.
After I had that stuck float, I decided I'd try and get the carb of my other twin tuned ready for when I find a cheap coil for it. That carb runs so well at idle, but stutters alot higher up. Not totally sure where everythign is on these oppsed twin carbs, so its gonna be a case of messing around. It does use alot less gas at idle, you could smell it with the old carb, so Im thinking of swapping them.
Also, got myself a new hood for the mudder, from a Lawnflite 548. (also bought a dipstick and shourd for a 10 or 11 hp briggs that is missing parts, just needs a carb now!) Got the side panels to help keep the engine free from mud and stuff. Its gonna need work, but its half there, still need front mounts and stuff, had to do some trimming. To make up for the lack of updates, have some photos!
The first photo you can see its all rusted on the bottom, thats because it has cuaght fire at some point, was pretty bent too, but most of it hammered out straight. Also, you can see how close it is to the tyre. If its a big issue, I'll go back to stock size on the front.
Here's the almost completed thing. Best part was, the lights worked!

| For some reason the second last photo, the fenders look quint, like theyre tilting backwards. Could just be the angle the tractor was sitting!.
Those lights are pretty bright, the grill is meant to have a plastic lens across the front of both lights, but looks better without, and much brighter too. Going to make some lenses from clear plastic, just to keep the much out more than anything! Thanks for the kind words everyone, should have alot more progress done once Ive finished repair a Simplicity 4212, I need the money!
