| Sure it is. In fact, you could even buy a belt clutch and avoid the whole chain thing. Otherwise, you will have to change the tranny input pulley to a chain sprocket. Beware that low-hanging fruit (like a clutch on the bottom of your engine) might not be too happy soaked in mud. If you thing you can keep it relatively clean and dry, you're golden. | |

| the centrifugal clutch would work. as long as you keep up maintenance oiling the chain and such. inspecting the teeth on sprockets. make sure you buy a good clutch. one ment for racing. otherwise you could burn it up very fast. and thats money out the butt. belts are good for racing too and less money and less maintenance. and the centrifugal clutch and belt slippage are both around the same downfall either way | |

| Easy fellas, stay cool-
Now about that clutch- Unless you are going to be legitimately "racing", a standard off the shelf clutch should do fine, as long as you keep your gearing in check. You will want to build some sort of support or guide, because the chain will want to sag over a great length. | |

| Honestly, if you're smoking a belt in 2 hours, there's something wrong with your gearing and/or belt alignment. | |

| i ran 40 mph no problem on a belt and never burnt it. its usually a screw or sharp metal piece that it rubs. sometimes a guide is to close and it burns the belt | |
