So after the third oil change it ran for a couple of days but today it unfortunately blew up but I have a spare 14.5hp motor that I ported and polished that I'm gonna steal back from my friends mower that isn't going anywheres for a while its all my parts anyways lol

damn.... :/ that sucks. water damage might have rusted the ring and took the engine with them
at least u got another engine. is it ohv?

The engine will still start for a second which is the funny thing sounds like all the bearings and rings

unfortanetly? i havent had very big issues with ohv. than again thats all ive had. and i have my 12 flathead thats got bad rings but i think everything else is fine. or was till i took it apart. if you want parts and i have them that are good i could give them to you?

To me the OHV's are a lot more fragile and more maintenance and thanks for the parts offer but I would rather just put another engine on for now

yea ive never had maintence problems. honestly. just valve and oil really. but i guess it is more than flatheads

Ya honestly doesn't matter a motors a motor and it is more powerful I also might be getting a magneto for my twin so that may go on there

Well I got myself out in the heat and started the swap almost done

you should fit that exhaust to the new engine :p

And done I am now happy again
