well, im going to use the lights and stuff off both bikes to get the cb360t in good shape as a restoration, the cl has bent forks. however, im going to make a chopper out of the cl, any advice on this chopperhead?, im thinking of trying to keep it woth the shocks for a better ride, i have some ideas on how to do it to, whats yall's ideas on this?
The frames on these bikes use a strange cradle setup. and they are stamped out of sheet rather than being built up from tubing. any proper frame mods will have to be well thought out.
Successfully chopping one will take some work. You're best bet would be a custom frame built out of tubing.
get on-line and see what the other guys are doing.
A bobber on the other hand, would be pretty simple.

ill look into it, i might just make a stretched bobber, but i want to keep it with suspension, i had priced the metal to build a complete custom frame before out of 1 1/8" diameter rollcage tubing, it was like $44 for 60 feet, but then i have to borrow a pipe bender,

I haven't seen one for a long time, shoot me a pic of the neck and downtubes (area in front of the engine) I remember that the cradle was lopsided ( ie. one side front mount is higher than the other).
the cb/cl twins look great as a café racer or board tracker.
My springer is a 10-12 over 70's vintage Amen. It will fit a sportster neck.

i checked chopper, the engine mounts are flush with each other on this model, and the only part that is stamped like steel is right under the tank, which will be fine for the way im thinking of changing the rake, ill just make sure to brace it better, and the chopper one is getting a jockey shifter, so i ca move the footrests up towards the front of the bike more, but ive yet to tear into either of the motors,

Have you thought about a enduro type build? Like for off road and street, you wouldn't have to much. Put some DOT knobbies, and regear it which you really should put new sprockets on it to, oh and may be some handle bars. You have a really cool old school enduro

For the screws I usually take a cutting wheel and cut a slot then take a flat head to it if you can fit it in there and maybe take a screw driver and chanalocks and press as hard as you can and twist it with the chanalocks maybe have someone else help uou do that too

Gave up on em huh? I just recently was thinking of finding a cb350 or 360 to make into a stripped down desert racer/flat track racer type thing. Street legal of course. They aren't really overly big bikes compared to most stuff right?

I guess I'm 5 something and about 135lbs or so. I've got an old 1980 xt250, seat height is around 30-31 inches I think. Kind of limited in what I can ride off road because pretty much all the new stuff is 34-36 inch seat height, which isn't going to be too good for slow speed in the woods stuff. Of course the cb350 would be mostly for street use, thought maybe it would be neat sliding around on dirt roads though.
Hey richie, can you send me a year or model of this so i can look up some specs? Theres a few of these in the salvage yard that i might use the rims and tires for that future project
