| well you got a few things to over come. The first being the unibody frame. You will need to weld in some form of bracing or it will never last. Second those rear rims will have little in the way for options for atv tires you will need to get into 6 or 8 inch rims. Your going to need to mount the rims and mesure what with tire will fit. Third that stock stearing may or may not hold up it was one of the first things to go to hell in my mud mower. | |

| Thanks for your reply's and suggestions.. I am now thinking of making a rectangle out of angle iron then welding to the chassis of it.. with the rear end I have got some ATV tyres and rims and have some hubs from a small trailer so I can bolt them on with some bushings to meet the size of the the axle.. And for the front end I want to set up a sort of direct steering I don't think I would have to change much..

| Or weld 90 degree brackets every 6 inches to cut down on weight. If its heavy like a tank, it'll drive like one. I use steel for my Enduro mower personally, not iron. | |

| I want this thing to be strong so I can drop it in to a 2FT mud pit and it will still be in one piece afterwards. I could use box steel as I have a few lengths of it but every time I work with box steel it seems to give way and bend.. as for the engine I have choices a 16hp flathead industrial briggs or a 22hp briggs opposed twin.. don't no the best option as obviously I don't want it to weigh a tonne but I want some power so when I step on the gas it moves.. Haha | |

An opposed has opposing cylinders aka the boxer engine. A V-twin have the cylinder in a V hence the V-Twin name. So it's not the same. You have a V-twin, mudking an Opposing Twin. | |

Lol Yes. A crossover pipe helps keep just a little backpressure in the system. Always need just a little anyway. Want to make it 'cackle' like a Harley? Use glass-pack mufflers for a Volkswagen Beetle. Trust me |

| A crossover pipe helps with bottom end torque.
RUnning without one maximizes top end horsepower.
Most twin and multi cylinder bikes run one, some run a resonance chamber.
