| The same guy that I got my Dynamark from has a cool 1986 Wizard by MTD that actually runs and mows that he will sell or trade. I am not a MTD fan but this mower looks cool and it runs. He wants to trade for a log splitter running or not. I know a guy down the road with a 2006 Craftsman 22 ton log splitter non running for sale for $100 so I'm gonna go by there and see if I can talk him down to $75 and trade the log splitter for the Wizard. I would keep the log splittler but I dont really need it because I already have a log splitter. Hopefully I can work out this trade within the next few weeks. I really like the way this thing looks. If I get this tractor I plan on fully servecing it and pretty much restoring the deck. This will serve as a backup mower and trailer puller. | |

| Its a different MTD then ive seen - most mine have the plastic grilles - couple are the 'walk thru' chassis, couple have the 'bolens' style front clip - only different one is my 80's wizard ( pop has a 88 mastercut with same style body) - all squared off front.
Running theyre worth $300 - so its worth the hassle .

| Im more leaning to the Wizard. Chrome is cool, but only if what is chromed is cool, and im not digging that grille design anytime soon. Head Forum Administrator ** Chat Moderator ** Facebook Page AdminATLTF Facebook Page ** Chatbox ** How To Upload Pictures

| Both would be pretty rare - ive hardly seen either of them - the chrome grilled ones are usually all rusted/corroded - that seems in decent shape. | |

| Update: I went and got the log splitter for only $25 and it runs really good so Im keeping it for myself so I worked out another trade. I got a rebuilt Onan 25 horse twin cylinder for $24 and Im trading that for the Wizard. The log splitter I got it a 1990's Craftsman 24 ton with a 8 horse Tecrapseh engine that runs very good. The Wizard should be delivered Saturday afternoon and I promise to get photos | |

| Hi guys. Sorry bout the delay. Got the Wizard back on Sunday. It was supposed to be running but when we fired it up it threw a rod so we did a different trade. I got the Wizard and took off the old motor and installed a 1992 Briggs 11 horse and actually drove this thing around for awile with no problems. Yesterday I was driving it and shredded a drive belt. The transmatic drive needs to be oiled up. I also rewire the mower just for the fun of it. The stator does not work so I am not charging the battery. Now I just need to replace the drive belt, lube the varidrive, get a stator, get a tire, get a gas tank, and sharpen the blades. When I took apart the old motor I dicovered a broken rod and broken balencer. Oh and the Wizard came with a bagger that doesent even fit it Heres some videos New engine, First start https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=re7UxVUTl6YNew engine running and blades engaging https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wa1u-OI2DzsDriving around with the blades engaged https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kr_mUuRinJYNew engine at idle https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ab4mq8COH8UAttempt a cold start at 32 degrees https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QmSJVeZ0ylwFinnal got it started at 32 degrees and driving around. Notice the ice on the hood. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E7fbs4V-QJQ[/b]Heres the photos

| That bagger looks like it goes on a White. I had a similar one on one of my old mowers.
Sucks that it threw a rod though. Head Forum Administrator ** Chat Moderator ** Facebook Page AdminATLTF Facebook Page ** Chatbox ** How To Upload Pictures

| Its a standard bagger setup for an MTD - i have two complete MTD bagger setups and a couple bag mounts around - they look just like that.
Best part about mine is one came on a $25 MTD - the other came on a free MTD - also bot a $300 complete bagger setup brand new off a husquavarna ZTR from Lowes for $40 ( was returned to the store) - i need to adapt it to one of my mowers sometime.
I tell ya sometimes you can score some awsome deals at lowes - you just have to wander around sometimes.
