| Is it a good idea to use bike handle bars with a thumb throttle instead of a steering wheel and a gas pedal? I want to switch since my clutch pedal is on the right. | |

| You can only use handlebars if you use a direct steering setup. There a thread being tossed around here somewhere on how to set one up. Head Forum Administrator ** Chat Moderator ** Facebook Page AdminATLTF Facebook Page ** Chatbox ** How To Upload Pictures

| Doug is right. Lawn mower steering wheels usually take 2-3 turns to fully steer from lock to lock. You wouldn't want to do that with handlebars | |

| Yes, It be kinda difficult to turn handle bars over and over. I like that steering job. Someday, I'm going to figure out how to fit a golf cart steering box into my tractor. Much tighter than what I have. | |

| Racers come up with crazy stuff to make things work - i dont know how they do it and comply with the strict rules they have to follow - since ive been trying different setups on tractors over the years ( half arsed- this time its being done right) ive amassed a bunch of racing tractor pics/setups off different sites over the past few years. Ideas i might incorporate into my next tractor.
Modding tractors has never really been easy - racers set their machines a certain way - most revolve around motor placement and trans/rear axle placement - rest has to fit around it.
The steering setup on that racing tractor IS basically similar to a go kart /RER tractor - just has a few more pieces and might need a bit of experementing on setup. | |
