tires - Cracked up tires Empty
PostSubject: Cracked up tires   tires - Cracked up tires Icon_minitimeSeptember 9th 2012, 9:47 pm

Guys, My front tires are next to no good. Both leak air and are cracked up really bad, so a tube is out of the question. What do y'all suggest I do to squeeze just a little more life out of them? I can't spend $140 bucks on new tires. To make matters worse, they are(as luck would have it) an odd ball size. (22x7-10) Any suggestions?

Why is a tube out of the question? My rears are cracked so bad they are missing chunks of the outer rubber... a tube works fine for them. #shrug#

I figured they would just slice the tubes. Plus, I can't find any that fit my tire size.

Like I said, I can't seem to find any tubes that fit my tire size. I hate odd ball sizes.

I suppose I could. Tubes themselves are pricey at napa. Almost $20 bucks for two. I know, I'm nuts to say $20 bucks is a lot, but I'm trying to save big time because I don't yet have a job yet. What size of tube do y'all suggest I get?

Have a look on ebay, I got a new inner tube for the front wheel of my tractor for less than £10. I have to get a new tube for one of the rear tires at some point and thats only £13.

I am in the UK, the UK does not use euros, we use pounds.
£13 is about $20.90 USD

Like a Star @ heaven ...Homemade Tire fix... Like a Star @ heaven

1 tube of Latex Window Caulking. Cost $2.00
1 cup old used or cheap antifreeze. Cost ?
10 squares of Good quality toilet paper. YES tp.. Exclamation
mix 1/2 of antifreeze with the tp the other with the Caulking.
Then mix the tp slurry and caulking slurry well.

Knock the bead of one side of tire and pour mix into the tire.
Air up the tire to desired PSI and slosh around.

Yes it works.

Mix the tp slurry WITH the caulking slurry mix up good pore it into tire.

The tp acts as a clotting agent for bigger holes.
