So I joined the forum back in 2016 an have been lurking on and off ever since.
Back in 2020, found an old Sears Suburban SS12 for cheap and stripped it down to the frame, sandblasted and rebuilt it. Stayed with the original 12hp Tecumseh engine, but had to build a new ignition system out of a Ford DuraSpark box as the original solid state ignition was toast. It isn't locked and sometimes I wish it was in the hills. I use this every day almost. I have a Polaris 4 wheeler but haven't even started it in over a year. Probably going to give it to my son-in-law.
Sorry for the frosted images but my lens on my phone is broken and the humidity here is terrible.
I am working on another Sears SS16 I picked up and turning into a mud/offroad mower. But I will start a new thread for this one.
Thx to everyone for the great content.

Yes, the blue Duraspark II can be adapted to many different engines. As long as you keep the box cool, they last a long time. When they fail, if you let it cool down, you can restart and drive. Pretty hard to get totally stuck and DOA with them.
Seeing the set up on your Suburban would be sweet.
