plastic oil drain valve??? b&s v twin

I couldn't believe that the oil drain plug was a plastic push valve with a cap on it........this surely isn't stock is it???  Im hoping that I will find pipe threads in the block so I can put a pipe and cap on it.........I hate oil leaks...........

. I'll see if I can tomorrow....I noticed a little spot under it when i bought it, but it was only a half quart down, that must have been the leak,..........I'm waiting for a carb, so am getting a lot of little things done

I've been buying from Walmart website instead of amazon......prime got a little to high-end for me....... i don't know if i can trust  wally world delivery dates yet.??I hate waiting I'm too damn old to have to wait    

Absolutely stock.  They suck.  I replace mine with pipe.

yep that's it except mine is matching red.......... ;-)........it wiil be gone tomorrow..........Briggs has a pretty hefty price on these....

I'm figuring the best way for me to post pics...this my project, I didn't get the grill and sides they may be available the owner wasn't sure if he still had them, I did get the hood, I'm not too sure that i even want to close it all up, it's a pain in the donkey when you need to work on them......I think you have four or five bolts to get it all off.........

I had a single cylinder engine with one of those once. I can’t remember if it was a Briggs or one of the newer Tecumsehs

I went ahead and put in an oil filter and filled with oil, saving the drain valve for another day........I ran the motor for an hour and had no leaks, so maybe I'll just leave it alone

Sometimes they back out and get loose.

I'll watch it pretty close, I washed it all pretty good with the pressure wash......I got that oil warmed up pretty good and no leaks.........so far
