Lately I have being doing a good bit of fun reverse engineering and design work for mower parts. I'm thinking about starting some threads with either just drawings of dimensions, maybe each thread devoted around certain engines or transaxles, (stuff like mounting dimensions for engines, bolt spacing of carburetors or intake or exhaust flanges, etc), or maybe just having a thread with a link to the page for something on thingiverse if it's something I 3d printed. Who knows, I may even go as far as uploading full mounting specs for a peerless 820, haha. Seems like I could fit these threads in the technical section of the forum.
A good example of something I'd upload is pod filter adapters for carbs.

That particular adapter is for a horizontal kohler command carb. I have one I made for a briggs oppy carb too. Working on another type for both as well, but having some trouble with my printer at the moment. Design is there though. I will post the files for both soon.

After getting that first pod filter for Mutt i'll say that I don't ever plan to go back to paper. The foam just makes so much more sense.

Scored myself a "new style" 633a from a 90's Yard Pro for $100!
I figured that for that price it would be good to have for parts or a possible backup, unfortunately all 4 mounting bolts in the case are snapped off but it's something to tinker with AND it holds the parts needed for 2 possible Moose Knuckle lockers!

Also if you have a 6 pinion 633 you now have the good splined axles and hubs to swap in, though the moose knuckle locker will break before a keyed hub would anyway. Better to weld them solid.
@RichieRichOverdrive the trans' in the Roper Offroadster and the 16T are both splinded axle units and *hopefully* the same internally, I know they made a few changes over the years. I considered welded one up but haven't for fear of losing too much turning raduis which is important to me with the trails I ride and then not being able reverse it easily, these 633a's aren't super easy to find around here...

Sorry I haven't been on it's really hard to get on the site on my phone and I've been pretty busy lately I have been building a race mower though and my mud rig is still running I still haven't fixed the brakes lol

i updated some things and it may be a while before iim back on i get real busy with stuff plus now i work at a mower shop lol i get to play with really broken stuff and learn about the new electrodigical stuff like a electronic throttlebody carb on a newer cub its wonky

Thats what the parking brake is for... bet anyone a hundred that brake is seized tho, those trucks are hard to find in decent shape for a good price
You'd be surprised how it is down south! Most 20 year old parking brakes are still usable and stuff is pretty cheap.
That is actually somewhat suprising, here your parking brake has to be redone every 5 years bc automatics you never really need them, and the cable get seized. And yeah round here for some reason even a load of crap like that would be sold for like 5k

@Brianator a millwright at one of the coal fired power plants at Kodak Industrial park recommend Hanson drive type extractors to me when a bleeder valve snapped off the bottom of the air compressor on the coal displacer crane and I've had good luck with them over the years. I even met a longtime career toolmaker that made some of his own from scratch.
