I think I have the belt idler fixed. New belt guide installed. Few more things to resolve. It's running super rich I figured out. I do have some adjustment to the carb. I'll turn down the idle jet a bit.

If she’s blowing smoke just slap a Detroit Diesel sticker on er and call it good. Glad she’s fixed!
For a few dollars more, Autolite has an Iridium spark plug for the L head. I am going to try that out. I got those today. I have some platinum briggs plugs in the engine for next year's build-off. Talk about a purr and good response.

Watching... Tippy is scary. I’m lowering the rig I am making for my grandson. Keep at it!
Yeah, same here, I am going back down to a 23 inch bearclaw. Much wider and not rounded tire like what is on it now. Those come in next week. I'll video this stuff and show it off.
The rear tires on it now, I will more than likely put on my Sears Suburban. The duro's I have on it now are just way too big.

Hard to find here too. I lucked out on this one. It came off a Murray Ultra I think. Dude near me had it and sold it for $30. For once, I was able to be the one to pounce on the ad in minutes.

Took red out for a 5 mile round trip today. Wanted to get it all warmed up to see how some of the items I worked on panned out.
After the 5 miles, no drips in the garage. I checked the axles and they were still clean. I did get on it a few times during the trip. Also checked the oil leak on the engine. So far so good at this time.

Couple new glamour shots.... Was able to take a slow lap around the yard with it today. Hoping the back continues to improve so I can take this guy off-road again. Got to take the Daughter and test out Bowser sometime!

Once I get The Green Machine out of the garage, I'm going to pull in Red for the clutch fix. At least I think it is the clutch. It is a bit wobbly and something is really giving the grind on release. Here is how it has been set up since 2016...
If I hadn't chopped and reused some of the original clutch parts, I would consider going back to a single clutch. I mentioned in my fleet post that I was going to put in the v-twin. That was before I remembered I completely overhauled the oppy in Red and put in Irridium L-head plugs in it.
I'm Not going to lie... there may be some parts from Kal go into red as well.

Going to perform some updates to Li'l Red again. Not mentioned in the video... I will be going back to the single pulley clutch. I left the single on Bowser and it seems to be much more fluid than Red's. Also, less pulleys to fail.
