Thought I'd give a little update on the 85 Murray I got in the 4 for $100 deal a while back. As you guys know, all of the Murrays from that deal are sold and long gone, but the 85 never sold. So my brother got it and decided to make something with it. He temporarily welded up the frame, ditched the deck, swapped on the motor and wheels from the stamped frame, pulley swapped it and a few other odds and ends. It's pretty fast. This is what it is now:
Anyway, thought I'd put it out there so it's known that it didn't get scrapped or sold and it's around in case you see it in the background of other posts.

So, the new feature is a "Latest posted Images" module they created. I went ahead and turned it on. You will see the navbar link above next to FAQ where the separator showed up earlier. I also coded a link in the Welcome menu under your username at the top right.

Ugh... still about 544 users that have never said Hi or anything in the forums. Complete inactivity. Could be worse. When I started we had around 5000 inactive users. Over the past 6 years we have cleaned up accounts that never posted AND never logged in to be where we are today.

Ugh, the delayed shipping season has started. Was suppose to get 2 packages today and around 7pm get notified they will be delivered tomorrow or monday. They have been in town since Friday afternoon.

I like the recent images feature in the toolbar. However the green font is kind of hard to read over the little banner and the images. Not much contrast there.
I put a Snapper steering wheel on the crossfeed on my G&E metal shaper so i didn't have to reposition a big hand crank every quarter turn... does that count as lawn tractor related?

I saw the steering wheel in FB, good job on that. As for the green font.. I agree about hard to see. That green is kind of default to the site. I would like to find the "white" part and maybe I can change that with some CSS. I hadn't looked too hard yet.

That isn't too bad actually I was on a forum with 14 000 000 members and only about 2 posts a day ( 4 guys talking about the weather )

I hear ya. This place got to a few posts a week a couple years back it seemed. Back in '16-'18 this place had 15-20 topics a day updated with 2-3 posts daily. Part of how all us on the site's Top Posters got up there like myself, AllisKidD21, RichieRichOverdrive, Double W Cross Ranch, CraftsmanQuad19 and Crazy_Carl.

This was the place to be back in those days! Chatbox almost always had one or two people chatting away. The reason we have the off topic threads now is because a few of us would banter back and forth in somebody's thread and we'd wind up with two pages of us talking about nothing but transaxles in someone's build thread lol. I barely keep up on threads anymore, and I used to know everything that was going on around here. A lot of my absence has to do with a junky laptop and bad local internet lol. But i have a nice PC now, so maybe I'll be on more. The time after christmas sees a pretty sharp decline in orders from customers, so hopefully I can get some work in on Mutt and the GT6K too. I definitely want to get out to some of the rides in Ohio and Indiana.
Ha, me and Mighty aren't hardly even OG members. I was around a little while before Mighty started posting, but the real OG members are most of the ones you see in redlinemotosportts MTD build thread, or in the first buildoff or two. Those were some OG members.
ATLTF had been around for about 5-6 years when we became members. Forum turns 13 next Feb 9.
I didn't actually join until later in 2016. I started lurking since before "atltf.com" I think it was like "atltf.go-board.com" or something like that back in 2013-14? Never joined back then due to my work blocking all the images on site. When I got home, I was typically busy with other things and not on the computer and I hate browsing on my phone. FearlessFront was the owner of the site back then.

A vanguard. Not at ALL! I have respect for vangards. I see a day in the future where Dirty Rat may end up with a v-twin. Hopefully a vanguard. My oppy supply is running low. LOL

Hard to find an oppy with good compression lol. Though Mutt runs okish. Smokes a lot. Really just needs a solid air filter setup. It's actually sort of hard to make something that isn't too restricting. Also if i were to put another carb on Mutt I would definitely go for something with a smaller bore. Maybe something as small as a 30mm. I think it has a 34mm now.
I just hope the vanguard would fit with my PTO winch lol.
Red's oppy is running low in the compressions, I think. Last I checked it was 55-60psi? I haven't ever checked the Dirty Rat. I may go out and do that real quick.

Got tied up with work. I was pleasantly surprised with the oppy in the Dirty Rat.
Front cylinder # 2 was 91psi, Rear # 1 was 95psi. # 1 looks to be burning almost "perfectly" maybe a tickle rich. Front # 2 appears to be burning ok but did have some carbon buildup.

Forum package expires tomorrow. @Doug informed me that we may fall to the "free" package for a day or so. What does this mean to the members? We will see some ads for a day or two and the top left roll in logo will resort to the forumotion link instead of "All-Terrain Lawn Tractor Forum". Also some forumotion copywrite info on the bottom of the page. It shouldn't matter as the Domain Name is paid up still for a few months, but should you have issues getting to the forum, try
atltf.forumotion.com

Adblock is free lol, I think everyone should have it.
Finished this part up today for a customer. 1" square hole in 3x3x3 hot rolled steel. Four pieces of 1" square threaded in and clocked to tighten up parallel to the rest of the block. Fun job using just about all the machines in my shop.
