I still work so I don't have as much time as I'd like to mess with the toys. Yep I'm fat, I own it.....I consider it adjustable traction ballast while operating equipment.
moving on I have some sears suburbans one we call flipper because it flipped up over on me it has lug tires in back and snowblower tires up front and an 11HP greyhound engine and I have a JD 400 that I repowered with a predator 670cc. Like most people that are into these little tractors I have a bunch of odds and ends laying around.
I have CNC plasma table that I'm afraid to fire up in my garage for fear of burning it down but as I declutter the garage this winter I plan to put it to work.
One of the things I have been working on is a rapid battery swap system because having batteries in several different tractors at two different homes I seem to always being dealing with weak or dead batteries.
So I now have some batteries and tractors set up with SB-50 connectors and a battery tender plug and it makes it very easy and fast to drop in a fully charged battery the only thing left is to make a quick yet secure universal battery box. I'm thinking a two part box system that has one half mounted in a tractor and the other wrapped around the battery with a handle that slides into the tractor box and locks in. The plasma cutter could cut the shapes out of sheet metal and I can then bend and weld them up.

I think I have a plan now I just have to continue decluttering my garage so I can cut a prototype but before that i may make something up out of poster board since I have some laying around here just to make drawing it up a bit easier.
I have to draw it, code it and cut it but getting the measurements and basic plan close will save me some time.
